If "blade chatter" is what I believe it is, then such a razor would very quickly give me too many cuts. I say that based on having tried a razor that seemed to vibrate a great amount with each razor stroke and using that razor gave me so many very many cuts.

If you watch a straight edge shave, the barber isn't mining for blood he goes slowly. This gives blade a better chance to grab the beard while lowering opportunity for razor to dig into the skin. I note while the stick applicator is a really excellent idea, I'm wondering if company needs to improve ingredients of the lubrication for the beard better. Going fast with an aggressive razor doesn't make sense to the barber, so how can it make sense to anyone else? 🤔💈

I think that's the reason why I choose the Viking's Blade adjustables (I have two) - I've yet to bump up past 4 or 5 (out of 10) - but still I tend to get a close and pretty mild shave.

I agree…it seems as though Parker has found the balance of price and quality shave. I prefer mild aggression too. Since you’re on a Parker kick, have you considered the Parker 26C open comb. I’ve read it’s a mild open comb razor. I’ve been considering the open comb design especially the double open comb razors from PAA

Awesome review and honesty, that's why I watch. I just don't understand the desire for aggressive razors unless it gives a BBS in one pass. Also, it looked like the blade tabs are exposed on this razor as well. I refuse to buy razors with exposed blade tabs anymore, just no excuse for it IMO. The Rockwell 6c is the only modern razor I will use with exposed blade tabs. The only reason for that is, the rockwell 6s and 6c are that good. But really Rockwell, C'Mon man !

I've only used one shave soap stick (Arko), but safe to guess that most, if not all, shaving soap sticks are like "that". Soap pliable, or soft enough that you can rub onto your skin? If yes, then use in same way as shave stick.

Would like to see if blade choice would tone down or bump up the "aggressiveness" of this razor. I'm still pretty new to using safety razors (about 2 months in) and have tried about 10 different blades for at least 2 or three shaves in the same razor to see how they "act". Second shave of an Astra blade in an adjustable razor on setting 3 or 4 is smooth, mild, but still efficient. I can take that same blade and place it in a 3 piece and it "acts" much more aggressive.
I have heard (and that's what's been keeping me away I think) that Parker makes some pretty aggressive razors so I may have to "work up to it" when I acquire one or three ;-) Oh, and: OhioShaves Parker 99R

How would this match up with the Rockwell T2's most agressive setting?

Totally different razor. Parker razors have a aggressive blade feel whereas Rockwell Razors have a smooth blade feel

the price for parker TTO razor is much lower for the quality the had here, but that blade chattering made me uncomfortable considering my face get easy zits if got nicks.
Maybe i just miss the announcement for Henson razor giveaway razor, nevertheless you have demonstrate a good shave with that razor.

I wouldn't recommend this razor for someone who has sensitive skin or is beginning. Henson giveaway is still running till the end of the month. The Astra blade is not suitable for an aggressive razor. you should have tried the Nacet Blade with it

My neck looks like I'm a lobster when I shave it. WHich is a bummer because the rest of my face looks okay after a shave. I'm usually shaving with a Rockwell T2 and trying to be as gentle as possible, perhaps I should just go as I normally do and stick to fewer passes?

@@OhioShaves thanks for your response. my lower neck hairs seem to be very fine and I have almost a "chicken skin" on my lower neck. Hair grows east to west. I seem to have no issues using Leaf Twig, but using Rockwell T2 gives me a burn almost every time. It's probably the angle of my Rockwell. I feel like I need to hold a handle almost perpendicular to my face. Also, perhaps Leaf Twig has the right amount of guard too?

@@bobak5126 holding a T2 perpendicular to your neck doesn't sound like the best technique. I'll bet you're probably pushing too hard because that T2 is a hefty little fella. Try going slower with more angle, that might be mild enough to stop it from excavating your neck... 🤔
