I do think Seth missed two cards that while not exciting, but will probably see some play in Modern in Cast into the Fire and Reprieve. Cast exiles Artifacts and can ping Ragavan and a Mana dork as a backup option and Reprieve is practically a white counterspell.
Cast into Fire is sweet. Probably should have been an honorable mention at least as an potentially upgraded (depending on the meta) Abrade. Reprieve I like, although I'm not sure how competitive it will be. I do like it though.
11:27 for anyone trying this, if you cast bowmasters in response to the rummage from Fable the opponent will likely just not rummage at all which is still some value but probably not ideal.
You haven't talked about Reprieve at all whether there or in the podcast. I guess it was forgotten since it was spoiled early? I think it's way better than most cards mentioned in the podcast for example. A white better remand may have an impact
You know how much Seth likes to get people with Mana Tithe, I figure he's just trying to keep Reprieve off people's radar so he can get people with both.
I have a built a deck which would be hillarious as against the odds or much abrew. Arcedes Big Butt Defender with the Ring tempts you in Historic Brawl. Most defenders have zero power, so they are pretty much unblockable with the rings first ability and then deal damage equal to their toughness to the opponent. Maybe even doable in modern, but shurely not competitive :) Its a lot of fun and winrate was quite ok, especially against other lotr decks
The ring tempting you will be the most hated and loved mechanic in modern! Some guy attacking u as a full fledged bearer, you lose so much and your opp ist curving out
I find Karn’s interaction with The One Ring sort of a flavor fail. Karn’s wish mechanic is supposed to represent Karn’s near perfect ability to recreate any artifact. But The One Ring is an artifact that is one of kind because of how it was forged. So Karn being able to create a exact copy is definitely a flavor fail.
I can't wait to use the witch king of angmar. He's always been a favorite of mine, and I think it would be really neat to make a ring-tempting nazghul deck.
Someone at my LGS was toying with the idea of Delighted Halfling in his Yawgmoth deck. Apparently it only would be unable to cast 2-4 cards in the deck, and makes your Yawgs and Grist uncounterable. [Edit: found out the following isnt true, Commander LotR cards aren't Modern legal -->] Also, maybe Black Gate could slot into Death's Shadow decks? Seems like it could fit into it fairly well, lowering your life and making your 10/10 unblockable? I dont play Modern so tell me why I'm wrong please 😆
I mean, at this point, Seth's catchphrase should be "Hello everyone. I'm Seth, probably better known as that guy who constantly, consistently, conspicuously mispronounces Magic card names." Oh wait, no, he'd mess up the rhyming of that, too.
OK, "Mina Tirith" is quite possibly one of the funniest Seth mispronoucements. How do you miss the "s" not once, but twice?!?!?
S? What's that?
He didn’t even say the escape from “Birthday Escape” correctly, what did you expect? 😂
"Americans" 😂

@MTGGoldfish Fair, but I still think Reprieve will still see some Modern play in the right metas.

Pl😂😮😮
😊l😅I❤ll😢
Yeah, the opponent can choose not to draw the cards, but that's still a win I think.
@@MTGGoldfishhonestly my thoughts exactly
Miss when you did this with crim. The banter was nice
Don't worry, there will be more of those in the future. This set the timing just didn't line up.
the one ring has already showed up as a 4-of in Tron and has put up results

The One Ring is showing up in 5-0 deck lists as a 4 of in main or 3 of 1 wish, I believe.

"My precious." Muahaha.
Glad to hear Rivendale won't be as hyped! I hope that means the price will go down even more because of it!

Wise'n'ring. Check it.

Witch King with Nazgul's seems like a super fun commander deck!
Birthday escape seems actually really good lol, one mana cantrip that gives permanent pseudo evasion :O
Seth made sure Crim wasn’t on this top 10 so he couldn’t correct Seth’s mispronunciations.

Black gate as a one of seems sweet in shadow ngl
Black Gate seems bad in modern on account of it not being modern legal
@@poiri the more you know 🤦🏼♂️I definitely thought it was main set and didn't know that the commander products weren't Modern legal
Not only BrotherShoods end, but also excape
Budget Moria Goblins please!

Temple garden+ arbor elf + forest + utopia sprawl naming black + Samwise + cat + viscera seer = turn 2 win
Yeah! That sounds awesome.
Forge anew is going to be so oppressive in hammer time.
I'm actually even more excited to play it in an equipment reanimator deck!
I want to see a cat oven Samwise Leonis Asmo academy manufacturer infinite turns five color food deck.
CRIM not present?
Maybe top ten historic too?

Modern printed edh set. Getting tired of every set being focused on edh
I Love Seth 😂
Orcish bowmasters is one damage away from being able to deal with wrenn and six :(
So close.
Just let's sit under the White Tree. 😂
The argument that I've heard floating around as to WHY wizards created Orcish Bowmasters is so that they can unban ponder and preordain😅🤣
Combat Dahmage.
At the very least they gave an honorable mention to the ring even though it may prove to be l the best card from the set for modern.
the blue land is far better than the red one.
Nothing compares to the power of The One Ring, you were quite wrong, weren't u?
This kind of video with just Seth, without Crim, is so much more pleasant
He so butchered Mina’s tirith’s name
And you so butchered the spelling of it
Orcish bowmaster is such a stupid mistake.... Way worst than hullbreacher.... They learned nothing
Make a video with top 10 cards for standard 😂
watching this on mute was necessary
You were so wrong 😢

Your pronunciation of Rosie's last name is dangerous. Sounds like Oxy's sister. Its Cotton Seth, not contin.
I see I'm not the only that it kind of bothers how he pronounced Minas there is an s there, please use it. Other than that like.
This is the saddest top ten video on your channel🥲 I loved the discussions. But people need that digestible content I understand
