That's the problem with young (stupid) interviewers, they have no concept of who Sparks really are. I guess you had to be there in the 70's when "This Town Ain't...." came out.
I can't understand that people neglect Russell's importence as a part in creating their music. They have said so many times in so many interviews that they work basically in two ways; either Ron writes music and lyrics, brings that to Russell, and if he likes it they continue working TOGETHER with the sound etc, making adjustments, trying different approaches. OR they play and jam together in Russell's studio, building the song TOGETHER. Russell is not only a voice on a puppet that brings out Ron's lyrics, he is a part of their music. 😒 On stage they make a play with this "Ron, the genius" thing, but without RUSSELL, not only the voice, all this fantastic, amazing music wouldn't be. In the end of the process of making their music Russell is the main mixer etc, whilst Ron works with programming his computor and keyboards.

@@annabackman3028 You're right. The thing is, that we fans don't see how they work together in the studio. We only see the result when a new album is done and gets released. And also in live concerts the focus is on Russell as the voice of the band.
@@jlsutton4819, I'm certain that Ron has and have had his share of admireing women too😂! Whichever, they should have their rightly share of praise and credit, both of them, regardless looks. It's about what they achieve as musicians, nothing else. Or Ron could have a Pom-Pom girl, wiggling her derriere, only to be eye candy for the audience. As ridiculous as when women are seen that way. Does he too have do a double good work to be seen as nearly as good as his brother, as women often are compared to men, equally WRONG, to have his name mentioned as a part songwriter? Give the man his earned credits, he's worthy that.
@@lad5520 You know the song 'Stravinsky's Only Hit'? If you look at photos of Igor Stravinsky, and don't study details, you could easily mistake one for the other! Stravinsky and Ron are so close to being spitting images it could possibly be 😄
If Harold Baines can make the Baseball Hall of Fame on sheer longevity I say these 2 should be in the Rock and Roll hall of fame as well. Hell, they should be there for their contributions and influences on so many genres and artists as it is.

Brian Wilson from the Beatles? I guess my hearing's going, too... I know he said Beach Boys. It sounded like Beatles for some reason or other. And I still don't know how walking in the same path as him constitutes an "extraordinary fitness routine"...or what on earth any of that has to do with anything...I should probably just leave now.
