I always try to give my customers great prices and intend to overkill to prevent and risks, which costs me a bit in the long run, but who doesn’t want a 100% waterproof shower 😂

Do you recommend this type of Install with this style if tile in a shower? I am doing a similar project and using a "Recycled Glass Mosaic".. I tried ro talk Client away from it, but its all about the looks. Lol.. And.. Just an FYI for anyone doing this... Make sure you measure your tile and account for those Mosaics to sit right in the Thinset... There is no wiggle room... You have to be almost perfect with Height of drain as opposed to using a Typical 12×12 or 12x24 That you can wiggle and adjust a bit... Anyways. Sorry. Just wondering if you recommend??
So the best results and less moving the mosaics around you start with the drain first.....at least that's the way I do it. Then work your way away from the drain......so center, center top, center bottom, then left or right is your preference......but always center first......and I agree with another commenter..... 1/4 too much, 1/8 or 3/16

Sal recommended using a 6” putty knife to knock down the ridges to keep thinset from coming through (minimize).
