When we thought Rarran's RNG was the king with the final boss discarding his win condition, Trump came to show us the true VALUE by stealing opponent's quest reward and playing it himself, what a game!

If we're gonna be honest, his "win condition" was never gonna make him win against that boss. Cthun is bait.

I really enjoyed this series! It was super fun to revisit the PVE Dungeon Runs (some of my favorite Hearthstone content of all time) & the side-by-side view was great to watch. I'd love to see you take on other content creators in this challenge.
Now it's Witch/Monster Hunt time.
PvE is the only thing that brings me back to Hearthstone for a long time now (6 years? of on and off playing)
I am fully of the belief that Rarran would have won that first run if he'd chosen better artifact after his third boss. Assuming a magic mirror pick would have been in the same place in deck as the bag of coins he did choose that's at least 2 more C'thuns he could have added to his deck before the final boss. Admittedly when he saw it it would have been chosen to add more Yseras to deck, but that's still 5 fights with a chance to add another copy of a big money 5 cost to deck. Maybe he still would have lost, but it would have been a lot less likely to all burn (or if he'd gotten a different boss just better odds to draw big value bois)

It's probably just a joke, but for clarity, on Rarran's vod you can see that there's a bit more chatter after the last line and he does say goodbye
definitely just a joke in post. in reality i remember a conversation about how the video was going to be on trump's channel and how rarran was going to send his viewers over etc etc

This was a lot of fun. I hope you might do it again. But with the uldum runs. The addition of bob's tavern makes the impact of the new cards a lot bigger.
What could be fun too would be a race of the old heroic bosses. Granted both of you would have to either play the same decks of have some kind of restriction on your deck building for example only use old cards but not the same strategy you used the first time you cleared it. I personally think this would be fun because it's not only about speed and luck this way but also preparation and foresight.
I use to avoid the C'thun bucket like a plague. It seemed like such an obvious bait and even the guides I watched/read about Dungeon Run would warn you that the randomness of the deck building made it a trap. Then, I suffered over a hundred lost rouge runs including a couple of decent Jade builds due to horrible draw. Suddenly, trying out the C'thun bucket just for shits and giggles didn't seem so bad. I don't know how, and I know I'll never get it again, but RNJesus blessed me with the battlecry totem, and summoning scepter on top of five, count em, FIVE C'thun buckets. I had just enough buff to make it tuff enough. Killing that stupid monster with all the eyes and beams with one big fuck off eye ball was a dream come true.

i love the contrast in this. Trump being calm and collected while mostly focusing on the game and explaining his thoughts. on the other side rarran that is panicking, yelling and screaming, both at the game and his viewers.

I like revisiting old content like this. Another ‘fun’ idea to explore is creating decks against hard mode bosses in Solo adventures with modern cards.

You have a definite control-player bias, which sometimes can color your decision-making when playing aggro or tempo decks. However, your mental game is very strong, and you shake off losses with class, so it's always enjoyable to watch.

I take this priest slander personally. I'll have you know before united in stormwind came out I said nope not playing this game anymore, stopped playing constructed and paying into the game, and only log in here and there for a chill dungeon run or rastakans rumble... and almost always picked priest in both and almost never had incomplete runs. Past tense cause rastakans rumble seems to not be on my UI anymore iunno what happened to it, but I still play dungeon runs too :?
