OHMYGOD HEY!
Earlier this month I was invited onboard the new Cunard Cruise Line ship, the Queen Anne, for an overnight preview event prior to its first public voyage.
As part of this, I got to enjoy a performance of BRIEF ENCOUNTER, as originally directed by Emma Rice and produced by David Pugh, one of the shows which will be presented onboard the ship during its sailings.

A bit late, but as a Southampton native, it still always makes me stare in shock at every cruise ship that docks here. And the QM has to be the first new ship In my lifetime lol

The only thing you really need to remember is that some people get very offended when you call it a boat… always a ship. I can tell you from personal experience that unless the sea is quite quite rough you will forget that the ship is actually moving and walking around is easy. Xx
I was once told the way to discern if something is a boat or a ship is to remember a ship could carry a boat but a boat could not carry a ship!

Same. It’s a ship! I’ve been told you don’t want any of the crew to hear you say “boat”. They will quickly correct you. Haha

Wrong, I love his vids. I just have been on cruise ships enough to know that it’s no where near a boat’s size.
The way my love of theatre and cruise vlogs comes together right here 🤣. I saw Ben and David’s tour of the ship already so it’s good to hear your review of the entertainment. Also, I’m going on my first cruise next year - a Disney cruise!
Next time you hear a quartet on a cruise and worry that it's invoking Titanic too much, fear not, because the band was a septet (7 players) which I doubt any modern ship has on board!
You can, and should, ask for your bed to be changed to what you want. Ask the room steward.

You guys need to cruise!! You missed six on Norwegian but Royal Caribbean has amazing shows. Disney too.
Cruises are very boring unless you go in a huge group and like to lay around and drink

A Cunard tip. The conditioner is always available but you always have to ask for it. Just one of their many quirks

Rep still exists! Pitlochry Festival Theatre has been doing a summer rep season for years, every actor is doing between 2-3 shows. You should come up and see some stuff when you’re in Scotland for the Fringe. This years musicals are Footloose and Beautiful. :)
WILD to see my home turf on your vlog. Living in Southampton you get a bit blind to the ships (they come and go so often) so it’s nice to actually see inside.
Fun Fact: when the ship foghorn goes off, we can hear it from our houses across the water. Sometimes they play tunes
Such a cool experience! I would love to take a cruise on a Cunard ship. Unless it's different on Cunard, usually there will be a different show in the theatre every night of the cruise, often with two performances of each show per night, so that there's more chances to see the show. I think some cruise lines allow you to reserve a seat through their app, and others it's just first come first served.
I hope you get a chance to take a cruise at some point - I've been on a few and they're very relaxing.
Pro Tip: turn the bottle not the cork 😉🍾
