My room has different Hell Awaits flags and posters on all the walls and ceilings and I own probably a dozen different Hell Awaits shirts. It's safe to say I like Hell Awaits very much. My favorite album ever.
Schizophrenia and Sarcator (Swedish Progressive Blackened Thrash) are my most promising modern thrash bands, you guys should check out Sarcator if you aren't familiar with them. Sarcator has 2 albums: 1st album) "Sarcator" (self titled), it's very fast and brutal like Schizophrenia 2nd album) "Alkahest", they went in a more progressive direction and slowed things down a bit. This album is full of great riffs and amazing guitar solos, it's different but they did a great job on it.

I always love Schizophrenia's covers. They capture the vibe of the song and add some clever pizzazz of their own. That guitar solo kicked ass. The drumming too. 🤘
I've been following Schizophrenia since their first Ep called Voices was released in 2020, this is an amazing band and I love them soo much that I bought one of their shirts and wear it every week lol. Check out their Voices Ep, it's very Demolition Hammer influenced but even darker. And their most recent album from 2022 called Recollections Of The Insane is freaking amazing, it leans more Death Metal than their first album but they definitely stepped up their game with the new album. The band is called Sarcator and they're a Swedish Progressive Blackened Thrash band, they have 2 albums called "Sarcator" (it's self titled, very fast and brutal) and their recently released album called "Alkahest" (they went in a more progressive direction and they absolutely nailed it). This is the only band I've ever heard not absolutely butcher a cover of anything from Hell Awaits. This shit rips. One of the only good new metal bands out there. Way better than 200 Wimp Wounds, Frozen Wimp, Wimp Mould, Sanwimpsugaboog, Wimp Incantation etc
Great cover, but he leaves out a great gallop on the guitar at 2:52. It's seriously one of my favorite guitar riffs of the song and they skipped it, haha. But great cover anyway.
