  • Rammstein is a German Neue Deutsche Härte band formed in Berlin in 1994. The band's lineup-consisting of lead vocalist Till Lindemann, lead guitarist Richard Kruspe, rhythm guitarist Paul Landers, bassist Oliver Riedel, drummer Christoph Schneider, and keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz-has remained unchanged throughout their history.

25:30 fair to say but it was the left politicians and a mainstream media outlets owned by a small group of people that complained about them beeing right wing.
but thoose people would even target you if you have by accident the wrong viewerbase.

Nice video. Thank you! The black actress who plays "Germania" is actually German. It's Ruby Commey, who was born in Berlin (1991) and performed at the Kammerspiele, Deutsches Theater and Berliner Ensemble. An important part of the Rammstein video was unfortunately not mentioned here: the scene in which medieval monks "eat up" "Germania" during a debauched feast, for example. - An allusion to the church, which had a firm grip on Germany for centuries and enriched itself (ate itself fat) with the help of its power at the expense of the country and its people. There are several details that this video does not explain (the embrace scene of the monk and the Nazi at the burning pyre, the eye patch of "Germania" in the concentration camp scene, the Leonberg dogs, etc.). This density of detail distinguishes this music video from others and certainly makes it a real work of art which I appreciate so much. Greetings from Germany!

The video is also showing showing the history of Germany with religion, specifically catholicism. There are monks in the middle age, feeding of Germania, while under the table (hidden), there is wild stuff going on in the church. The people are sitting beside it.
Later, a priest is also shaking hands and sharing kisses with the Nazis. The one is burning witches, while the others burn books.

"Neue Deutsche Härte", I never read that term before. I think Rammstein made that up for themselves, in contrast to the "Neue Deutsche Welle", a wave of Schlager style songs with partly funny lyrics that swept over Germany in the 1980s. -- Don't know what happened to the first comment I wrote about my opinion that gold and silver jewelry looks better on black skin than on white, maybe the algorithm ate it.

it is indeed a play on neue deutsche welle but rammstein didn't made that up themselves. the band Oomph! is mostly known as the grandfather of that genre but of course there were some bands even before them that experimented with that kinda style.

Well about the concern Rammstein has right tendencies. Their second manager was a black guy called Emanuel Fialik.

I am not in agreement that it is messed up that the Aryan certificate is still accepted in Germany.
This certificate in itself has no meaning in Germany and for people who live in Germany. As a German myself, I have never even seen one.
However, during and after the Second World War, millions of Germans were held as prisoners of war all over the world or fled. From Argentina to Kazakhstan and Siberia, there are still Germans moving back to their homeland today.
These people and their descendants had or have nothing other than this certificate to prove their German nationality in order to be re-naturalized, as the Federal Republic of Germany did not even exist when they left or had to leave the country.

He's talking so much about skin color, so I have to admit something. I'm a white German male, and I really do think that gold and silver necklaces and bracelets look better on black skin than on white. Now, am I a racist? You decide.

Also Gold definitiv besser auf schwarzer Haut, Silber (vllt. mit Diamant) eher auf heller Haut.... aber das ist auch nur mein Geschmack.

@@stzi7691 I think it's better the other way around. But tastes differ. And diamonds, I don't know. I think sapphires are more beautiful. (Thanks for the translation, Google. It's almost midnight here, so I'm a bit tired.)

If you want to touch on this issue, then it goes even deeper. Germany is the youngest public education in Europe. At the same time, the German nation has been known since the fall of Rome. How did it happen? The formation of Germany as a state has been held back from the outside for a long time. For a long time, France planned to include German lands in its possessions. England played a difficult game, as she often argued with France, it was useful for her to use Germany against France. But England also did not want the emergence of a new strong state in Europe. This predetermined the war as a consequence of the emergence of a united Germany. The republic that was created in Germany after the defeat, combined with monstrous reparations, was supposed to destroy the German state again. What is briefly mentioned here. It was the cradle of German fascism. Did it get better after the fall of Hitler's Germany? It doesn't exist anymore. Germany was fragmented again. The GDR ended up in the hands of pseudo-socialists. Those who called themselves communists, but in fact were a system of corrupt officials. Of course, they won't talk about what was wrong in West Germany. In fact, West Germany was an extension of the Weimar Republic, with the exception of the economy. The Germans were diligently instilled with a complex of guilt for the fact that Hitler's Germany existed. It was supposed to be a nation without self-awareness. It was assumed that a German is someone who, naming his nationality, shyly looks away. It's a bit like what the occupation republic did after the First World War. And it risks leading to the same results. By the way, not so long ago I realized that Western advisers were trying to build in Russia after the collapse of the USSR. Another variant of the Weimar Republic, associated with the loss of identity. As a result, now we have a complicated dance on a wire, over a nuclear abyss.

he repeats 15 min out of the 30min video sentences about how right wing politics had a bad influence in germany to end the video with the sentence:
" ..what it means to me personally , but obviously national identity is something i never tought about much."
yeah obviously repeating talking points before taking himself out of the equasion because he has no backbone
listening to this sentence after 30min , explains to me why noone wants to protect be in the military anymore.
