This is a "Big Bug" with McPherson front suspension. The 1302 is the 1971 and 1972 years denomination for the Big Bug with a flat windscreen; starting from 1973 was called 1303 fitting a curved windscreen. Mine has 1200 engine.
Autosticks can be driven in ONE gear... around towns or cities.. Like Drive 1 or Drive 2 LOW gear is a very low gear and acceleration is Great... so, normally You only hear Me change gears twice.. Low to drive 2... LEE in Australia
Wow; Thanks for the info! By the way: VW de Mexico never built air cooled convertibles (Except the Type 181, called "Safari" in the mexican market), ragtops, metal sunroofs or "Super" Beetles, just made a plain T-1.
So different to the german built T-1 for the american market and the VW of Mexico production: Lowback seats, non padded dash and the denomination: "1302"; Is a 1200 the engine?

@fufiffi Worlds Apart Better then the Brazilian Volks. Our "FUSCA" is very much simple than the 1302.
