Its been a long time since I have been in that area. I need to plan a trip there again. I just got back from a 4 day trip up to Plumas Ntl forest, north of Lake Tahoe. The Gold Lake 4X4 campground.
@@OverlandOutAndAbout There are a lot of OHV roads. Might be tough with your van. I saw a big Dodge 2500 Max cab and a Huge USFS mega crew cab Ford roll by. An hour north of Tahoe. Look at TH-cam. This is the main road which is difficult.
You should be able to make it through in 4Runner...at one point in the video I'm mentioning that I just made a u-turn, and I added the coordinates for that point in the video.
The area you’re at where you mention deliverance is technically part of Jupiter, the sketchiest place in tuolumne county where illegal activity occurs. I went right where you are at 3:27 and my friend and I decided to turn around where a man outside his house nearby looked at us and we waved at each other. The wave eased our discomfort haha
You sure that's part of Jupiter? That's the really nice house (agreed have no clue how they got materials there to build that!) right after the water crossing on 3n03 coming off camp nine. Jupiter, from my understanding, which I could be wrong, is down off Italian Bar Rd towards the MiWok side, @OverlandOutAndAbout what trail was that that you turned around on, that didn't look like 3n03, what that 3n13?
If by "meetup" you mean Overlanding trips... everyone is welcome to join me for any trip (I always post future trip plans on my Facebook page), and most of my trips are beginner-friendly

Looks nice! I've got plenty of scratches on the side of my van from trails like this also. I need a vinyl wrap that is bulletproof!
I don't think any vinyl wrap will hold up in some of these trails.

It's nice there.
I need to venture out to Plumas, I'm not sure if I ever explored there in the past.

Another good vid, thanks. Might try it this weekend.
I had to make a U at one point when the trail became a bit too narrow for the van...let me know if you end up doing this and able to push through.
@@OverlandOutAndAbout Did you get some video of the trail where you did the U? I'm driving a 97 4runner so might make it through.

Looks like a lot of fun! Im going to check that area out, I live not too far from there.
I was trying to get all the way to Strawberry, but the trail was a bit too narrow for the van.
Thanks for the video buddy! Love your videos.

Yea that area looked scratchy

I'm not sure if it's Jupiter or not, I just tried to follow trails on the map that will take me from Strawberry to Murphy's.
@@OneTakeSunday Yes it’s by camp nine so it’s basically Jupiter. I’ve been all throughout there. In fact I was there a couple days ago
@@OverlandOutAndAbout what trail did you turn around on?
Where in the bayarea are you from?
East Bay
