@@ctscalemodellingukOoh, Now I get it. I have almost the exact same model as you and I am working on it! Thank you so much for this video, it is really healping me!
Theres a bit in the video at 13:45-ish which explains it - from what I can tell, the initial black lining penetrates fine panel divisions and further top colours don’t ‘quite’ cover the black paint in the bottom of the grooves thus leaving beautifully defined panel lines
Looks like you put the paint on too thick (air gun is set incorrectly)? Looks like the body is speckled. Sorry if I offend with my inexperience. Good build nonetheless.
Cheers for watching, you talking about the pre shade? Don’t mind positive feedback so please dont be concerned. Hope you like the rest of my content ( mainly armour). Thanks
I see it also, it only seems that your metallics were too thick which resulted in that speckled pattern where it was sprayed, great model and paint job, always love that SEA camo
I think it has a lot to do with the primer. I tend not to bother on tanks but always use a primer on aircraft due to the amount of handling and as you say paint peeling. I tend to try to leave the blue tac on for only a day or 2 and try to use a new pack ( its cheap). Hope it helps.
thanks for putting this together - great techniques - fab finishing
Cheers for watching & comment, hope you like my aircraft playlist too.👍
Why the black lines in the beginign?
Hi thanks for watching. Is it the pre shade? Basically the green base coats etc are thin so dark lines come through simulating panel lines.👍

@@MasculinityZeus I did a F14 Tomcat video too, they are all on my playlists. Enjoy your build.

Another great build mate, have always been wary of using blue tack in case it peeled paint or left greasy marks but looks really good

@@ctscalemodellinguk thanks it really does help, the point about primer didn't occur to me
