@@kkhelton4462 how old are they? I typically dub in the winter because of that and it seems to work for me. My stags mature better because they don’t have to fight off infection/injury from frostbite
@@downtheridge My blueface broodcock is almost 2 years old, I'm definitely going to be dubing him this winter has already done a number on his comb. Do you have any tips when it comes to dubing I'm planning on using flower after unless you have any other methods that may work better?
@ flower or corn starch, pepper some cayenne in until you see a change in color. Bottle of alcohol but be cautious, it will cause frostbite immediately in certain temperatures. Sharp scissors. Call me if you need. 570-856-8707.
#1, dub during a cold morning or evening, the blood should clot pretty quick. #2, use some down feathers to help clot the dubbing. Dubbing should be done preferably at 1 year old.
Its cold here too my blueface have got some frostbite on the tips of their combs
