I couldnt care less what "people" think girls. Yall do it the way you want and its going to be all right. You do more for the environment than the majority of people, so do it the way you want.

I LOVE it when you send the material downstream- Mother Nature appreciates the help. No apologies necessary.
The one thing keeping me from moving South is the humidity. The collective whining around here about how humid it is starts when the mercury hits 50%. I’m afraid I’d melt in your neck of the woods

    Nice teamwork there!
Mom , you remind me of my mother-in-law. There was no stop in her. When she saw something that needed to be done, she did it Never a complaint. She grew up in Blaine, KS, during the great depression & WW2. Pure "salt of the earth".
Keep on cleaning up and clearing out!

Sending stuff downstream creates habitats for critters and the decomposition is good for the environment.

Believe it or not we understand humidity up north too. Living near the Great Lakes, Lake Ontario, is my lake, 25.5 C or 78 F can feel like 37.7C or 100 F, it’s really humid in the summer. Tomorrow, July 14th it’s going to be 34C or 93 degrees.

For the people who complain about taking away the beavers' home: I look at it this way- If the dams the beavers built caused too much of a problem (flooding across fields, major roads, that sort of thing) then those nuisance beavers would be trapped and killed. At least in my area they would be. So, by removing dams and getting ahead of the problem they're saving the lives of the beavers. They aren't draining major ponds where the beavers actually live. Plus, it gives the beavers something to do LOL. If the beaver population was struggling, there wouldn't be any dams on large streams like this one. Since there ARE dams, the beavers are doing well and aren't directly affected by removing these particular dams.

You can’t see me, but I’m bowing at your feet!! 😂😂😂. It’s the instinct in the beavers to build dams, and they aren’t in a union and actually want to work!!

Hey you two, you can’t imagine how much this was welcome tonight! I had medical appointments and prescriptions to wait to have filled and when we returned, we had three wild grandkids visiting who just left. I’m having a laugh at people who think beavers actually live in the dams they build, instead of their lodge. I’m sure you know to ignore ignorant comments and have a reward drink. Take care….👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻

It's my "expert opinion" as someone who watches beaver dam removal videos that sometimes is OK to send beaver debris downstream and sometimes it's not. It seems to me that the people filming have a far better idea of what's downstream than I do since I've never set foot in that location. So they can make that call better than me

13:55 I don't know if someone already told you but those are swallows and make their nests with mosses and their spits (danggedy dandelion, can't seem to find the right word 🤔 ) and there's a old wives tale, when swallows fly high, it stays dry, do they fly low? Water may come to flow

Have you considered calling the city (I think that's what you said) and letting them know about the broken sign? Where I live, the grocery stores pay about CAD$10/ea for someone to pick up wayward carts. It costs them CAD$400-$600 to purchase new ones.

I don't understand why some people think it is okay to litter in nature.
What I really don't understand why people do not properly dispose of fishing gear and line.
The channes Ocean Conservation Namibia shows on a daily basis the horrible effects of discarded rubbish and fishing nets and line.

It’s your channel, if they have a problem they can move on. You do what you think necessary to fulfill your purpose.
Your better off sending it all down stream, because the big rain will pull them off the banks anyways

But only if you have the opportunity anyway.

3:53 Those are string algae and appear in low oxygenated water that hasn't got enough watersnails and so on that eat those type of algae.
Happens mostly in the summertime when the water is low and the sun helps it grow faster..
It is slick, that is true 😊 but harmless and if, it is best to throw it on the banks to dry and let dying there in the blazing sun.
Girls, you do a great job! 😎👌
