This song, the JK ad libs, the V-Jimin harmonies - blows me away every time. I loved how Anderson Paak said (forwho the other song) it was like going to church. Layover was tailored very well to V's strong suit. For You and Blue are my favorites but it's all amazing. When he sang for Iris Stevenson on American Hustle Life she said V had a voice that really makes people feel something. 💜

Kim Taehyung V has such a beautiful and deep voice that everytime when I listen to it i fall for it even more than the last time. His voice is such an addiction you can't stop listening to when you start it once. His voice gives that warmth which you need. His album Layover is truly a masterpiece, different and special, it is very amazing💜

Love this performance. Best parts were when V and Jimin did the old duop group side to side move together and how one would mouth the lyrics as the other sang it. Every one of them gave us ear candy moments to hold us over and anticipate Chapter 2 . Marketing geniuses.

When they sang 'For Youth' after 'Young forever' in the Yet To Come In Busan concert, it cried SO much.. idk I just had the feeling that it would be the last time of a BTS ' concert for a while bc of the military service and I was right so right... and while watching it my memories as an army flashed like a movie and I got so emotional, a mix of feelings bc was so grateful towards BTS and also sad bc I knew i was going to miss that 😭💜
BUT, we are so lucky bc their hiatus is not hiatusing it all with all the releases. They worked so hard to the point it's been 2 years since the beginning of chapter 2 and we've got like 100+ songs which is insane 😭🙌

Ooo, you must watch "For Youth" performed live on Music Bank (TV music show) th-cam.com/video/oEPI5uUyhtY/w-d-xo.html -- IMO, it was their best live for this song (and all dressed in snazzy suits). It starts the way it does on the album/recorded version -- with the Wembley Stadium audience singing "Young Forever" as a surprise for the members onstage a few years ago (the members were preparing to sing Mikrokosmos as their final song for that concert).
JK's key change was the best and most expressive here, and the little harmony on that last note with V and Jimin made it so much more touching. Also, most of the members were misty-eyed at the end because they knew that by the time that performance aired on TV, they would soon be announcing that whole 'chapter 2' thing... and that appearance would be one of their last ones as a group for basically the next three years. Also, nothing beats having a live audience there with them - and this music show appearance was also a refreshing 'return' to live audiences towards the later/'end phase' of the pandemic. 🥺😌
I LOVE all 7 equally but Tae is my favorite singer in the whole world!!! My favorite singer of all time has ALWAYS been George Michael and now he and Tae share that spot for me. Tae's voice soothes my soul. He has amazing range and a smooth, rich tone that melts me
Yeesssss…..V has such a smooth and soulful voice..🔥..A lot of BTS songs aim towards higher registers made more for Jimin and Jin…( but surprisingly V can also sing high but with a richer tone)…so sometimes V can’t showcase his smooth and silky voice enough within BTS group…but once you listen to Vs solo songs…you realize how underrated and underutilized Vs voice is within BTS group..and you appreciate Vs smooth, rich, velvety voice so much more in all of BTS songs..🔥💜..For Youth is one of my favorite BTS songs…💜
I share your love of V's vocals. Honestly in the beginning his vocals were under used and under rated. I am so glad over the years his vocals became more appreciated.
There was one more performance in the desert: Born Singer which was my fav. It was originally recorded in 2015 I believe, re-performed in 2017 and now again.
You missed out by not watching the full episode! The have a part after Anderson pack left that they talk about things of the past! You won’t get to see that in these individual song videos! Also the other song Born Singer I would suggest watching the compilation performance that came out in 2015! The performance on this show doesn’t show as much of the high notes you get in the original performance!

This song is one of my favorites. They filmed this outdoor mini showcase in between their concerts in Las Vegas. That's where their Grammy performance was. They met Anderson Park backstage and he told them his son was a big fan and now he was. They went to a Bruno Mars concert and really befriended Anderson and asked him to be guest drummer. There are more than 2 songs. You'll have to go find more. But this is so Lovely! Thanks for listening and finding it!
