- From the 1960's or early 70's. The film footage was in a box of film clips of the late Nora Denney, or Dodo Denney. Nora is the one in the purple, with the cigarette holder. She gave me the box to digitize several years ago, and I returned it.
There were no credits on the film or can. It was only marked as"Pie Fight" and "Kelvinator." Maybe an ad?
There are several memorable faces who were hard working character actors at the time.
Bryan O'Byrne was the butler whose sloppy wine-pouring started the fight. He was also coated pretty well with cake frosting near the end of the Disney movie, "Gus".
Awesome
It was a commercial for the Kelvinator refrigerator. I think it was made to show the capacity of the unit. I saw it as a kid many years ago. It was not unusual for commercials to run well over a minute in the 60s.
Thanks for the IDs. I recognized Bernard Fox and Allan Melvin, although I could not place them.
Bernard Fox is also in this. He was Dr. Bombay on "Bewitched" and is still alive. If someone is able to contact him, he might remember something about this film. Kelvinator makes refrigerators so it must be some sort of extended comercial.
It was a the three stooges PIE in the face CLASSIC
Watching the three stooges as a kid I always wanted to do that....And still Do!
then why don't you? Do you just have nobody willing or friends
if your in the uk ill do it with you
RIP, Bernard Fox.
I seem to remember this as a TV commercial when I was a kid. It was many moons ago but I do remember Bernard Fox being in it. It was definitely in the mid to late 60's.
I’m 98% sure this movie is Who’s Minding The Mint (not the whole movie appears, of course). It looked like Victor Buono, so I did a search of Dodo Denney’s movies on imdb. They both appeared on the credits. I did a google search as to which movies they appeared together, and it only resulted in this movie.
I want a pie too 😂
The music took away from the pie fight. I would have liked to hear what was going on.
Whatever this is from,it's hilarious!
I guess not - I first saw this film as a poor quality VHS dub, and I thought it was Carol. Now that I see it clearly I can tell it's Dodo Denney - but you gotta admit with the makeup and the way she plays the role physically she sure seems to be channeling Carpl!
And how did they get Carol Burnett? Some of the other faces look familiar too.
Not Carol Burnett - Carol Worthington.
That looks like fun.
yeah if it was all women
Is that Victor Buono getting sandwiched?
Nora [ Dodo ] Denney--she looks like the woman who played Mrs. TeeVee from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971). Is that her...?
That certainly is her...she was also Marilyn the Witch, who hosted a late-nite horror show in Kansas City, MO in the late 50s called THE WITCHING HOUR
@@teptime, it’s too bad that she couldn’t have continued to pursue acting I think she could have had a lot of potential to persevere through more talent.
I don't think that was carol Burnett
I agree.
Who's the blonde girl with the bowl-cut the butler were attracted to so missed Bernard's glass?
+André Jensen Sussman Do you know who she really looks like? Vivienne Johnson, Young Mr. Grace's secretary on the British tv show "Are You Being Served?" I don't know if it is her, though.
Oops, meant to say Young Mr. Grace's nurse.
Carol Worthington.
they forgot to pie her directly in the face
As a professional photographer I would love to shoot this kind of a scene, but with more women in more sexy clothing. Maybe it will come true someday.
