Thank you for showing us your Midlander set John, It brought back very happy memories of my very first train set. I still have the contents, though sadly not the box, and in a fit of madness in my early teens painted the loco B.R unlined black. I have since acquired an excellent boxed set to keep safe. I have also left a further comment on your treasure chest video. once again a very enjoyable video, look forward to the next instalment.
As a child, I became aware of HO when I received the br lima 33 with continental couplers for Christmas. The year later I received the deltic with British couplers but I felt it was still HO as the scale didnt feel right to my youthful eyes
Lovely to see 017, limited edition 1000 yes. I started off collecting tri-ang but I am on a quest of getting one example of each deltic lima did. Yours is a lovely runner, exactly as they can run with TLC. No need for the CD motors etc. I have one that comfortably pulls 12 of those Mk2s and barely shows any signs of slowing. I do find with the later ones (with the better gearing) often click and have flash on the first gear's teeth. Often there are sprue bumps on the face of the gear that make that whining noise, but i've worked mine to be as quiet as the 'Railroad Plus' stuff hornby do today. How much did you get 017 for? I'm trying to get bargains only! Lovely to see the set going round as it left the factory to do. All the best Will

Hi Will. I purchased this loco 2 years ago for 39.50 on ebay . Thanks for your comments 🙂
@@jkb1955 very good price. I see too many listed at £100. They're a lot better runners than 9006 and 9003.
🤤🤤😁, the next Vid. will be Jerry stretching his axle boxes😉👍👍
@@jimmanyk there will be a transcontinental episode quite soon...
@@jkb1955 That not a no😁👍👍
