    Awesome and informative vid as usually. I own a .22 cal Huben K1 2020 and it's accurate at 59 yards like my FX.25 wild cat and .25 FX Impact. Now I only shoot 14.3 gr. premier hollow points from walmart at 900 fps getting a 11mm group. It's my go to gun.

    I'm not sure if you have talked about the sharp edge on the magazine/cylinder. I own a 2021.25 version and have shot a few thousand rounds through it and what a awesome airgun. One thing I'm going to fix is those sharp edges on the cylinder. I've noticed that when loading the ammo many times it scrapes/shaves the ammo putting it in place. The gun is so accurate I wonder just how much its affecting it but either way it shouldn't do that. So I'm going to put a .003-.005 radius on that edge. I'm surprised the factory guns come with such a sharp edge. If the loading gate had more room it might not be such a problem.
    The Huben K1 is an absolute beast. I've had many many airguns and always take them apart to learn the gun and this one is a marvelous design and pretty easy to work on.
    Here's a string of 17 shots and it was filled to 3800 psi

      Part of the reason for this is because the use the same loading port plastic part as for .22 and you need to push the pellets/slugs much harder to avoid this... But I do agree that if the magazine had smoother edges, this wold not be such an issue. Thanks for the input.

    Hi Gregor. As always very good content, great explanations for all of us who have a Huben. I have the 3 versions of MP Molds that are available for the 5.5 caliber and I would love to have this new mold. I have 2 K1, one 2016 and another 2020, I do not know if the latter fits into the description that you indicate with Chinese cannon ... Question : to low the regulator pressure , does the rifle need to be degassed ? THX

    • @gregorkamensek3923
      @gregorkamensek3923  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No need to degass. Simple make about 1/4 of a turn counter clockwise on the regulator and then take few dry shots so the pressure drops in the plenum to the new regulated pressure. It is best to go further down than you actually need, and them go slowly up to the pressure you want...

    • @gregorkamensek3923

      That is most likely due to too low regulated pressure. Be careful, when the gun is in this state, it will fire automatically when you increase the pressure.

  • @barlscharkley5411
    @barlscharkley5411 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    If the pressure on the unregulated side drops below the pressure on the regulated side, will the regulator leak air from the regulated side? I'm trying to trace the cause of a leak on my K1.

    • @gregorkamensek3923
      @gregorkamensek3923  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It should not leak in this situation... Of course the regulated side will never be lower than the unregulated, it will simply equalize...

  • @arthur18a
    @arthur18a 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hello, I can't find any info on how to increase and decrease the air in the regulator.
    In the manual, you only have to turn the regulator screw under the cross, but there is no need to empty the tank area before decreasing the regulator pressure?
    Is it possible to empty the air from the tank for long trips?
    My apologies in advance I did not find this info in any video, can you help me if you please.
    Sincerely

    • @gregorkamensek3923
      @gregorkamensek3923  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No need to empty the tank for pressure adjustment. if you are going up (clockwise), just observer the manometer and set the desired pressure. For down, make small turns anticlockwise (1/4 revolution) and fire few dry shots to wee where you are at. De-gassing this gun is not that easy, you can de-gas the regulated chamber with the regulator (just go down with the pressure until it starts to leak...). Main tube is much harder to de-gas.

    • @gregorkamensek3923
      @gregorkamensek3923  ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually I don't know. I haven't taken the shroud apart yet. I have only removed it from the gun and noticed that there is some support that directly touches the barrel lookin in it from the rear. I tried to unscrew that front cap but I think it is clued due to the fact that there is probably no thread on the carbon shroud...

    Hello Gregor, thank you very much for your videos, they help us a lot. Check, can it be that the new 2021 version has 80 wheel clicks to regulate? Because I bought one with that amount, and I'm not sure if it's mine with that particularity or all of them. Thanks again. Greetings

    • @gregorkamensek3923
      @gregorkamensek3923  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The number of clicks that are available do not determine the number of click that effect / adjust power. I have about 85 clicks available on 2021 K1 as well but as on all K1s, only about 48 click actually adjust the power (three full revolutions - 16 clicks per revolution). You can feel this when rotating the wheel: try to rotate the wheel fully counter clockwise. Then rotate clockwise and at certain point, you will start to feel more resistance (more force will be needed to rotate the wheel). It is only those clicks that have more resistance that actually adjust the power, so you basically have about three full revolutions of adjustment (48 clicks) from fully closed wheel (fully clockwise) to fully open (about 48 clicks counter clockwise) and from there on, you are only rotating the wheel but the power is not increasing anymore...

    The twistrate of the Chinese barrel makes it more of a pellet barrel but it does shoot some slugs really well too.I assume it is the same barrel I got in my 2021 K1? Need to do some more testing with the .218 34 grain Javelins but I got about 6cm 4 shot groups at 200 m in really windy conditions once I figured out my hold, then the wind changed, very promising indeed. The 35grain ZAN did not work but how do I get hold of a couple hundred of those mp 37grain slugs? Very interested to try them ! 😀 Got lots of other slugs to test but you know, time...

    • @gregorkamensek3923
      @gregorkamensek3923  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my experiences, none of the .218 work well in any K1. You can get reasonable accuracy but bigger diameters will typically work better. Newer K1s except sizes only up to about 5.55 mm (about .219) and those work best in my experiences. I never get exceptionally good results with any of the conventional swagged slugs though, that is why I prefer to use Altaros turned slugs or my own cast slugs. It all depends on what is sufficient accuracy for you and weather you main goal is target shooting or hunting...

      Not yet. Those are made in South Africa and the are a little harder to get here. But I doubt there would be any significant difference. The thing is all of these slugs that are now considered as "norm" in the airgun industry were the dimensions of the slugs are not really appropriate for conventional airgun barrels and even less so for K1 that has a chamber... So although there might be minor differences in performance of those slugs in K1, none of them are exceptionally good.

      I just started shooting cast slugs through my K-1 and mines a 2018 with the Choke cut off. They are 54 grains and I cannot believe how accurate A cast slug in this gun and they are Huben style .I also liked your video on your Edguns I just set up my rag to 200 bar. And I drilled out my choke . And did everything on video so my viewers can see how to do it and I’m just waiting for a good day with no wind to shoot that too. I think I did a video on my Maximathor i’m not sure I think we’re shooting a 3 inch group with slugs from the factory I drilled out the choke shoot and sub on my way at 100 yards now. But it had some really tight spots near the breech end . And that’s where you have to look for these tight spots in the K-1 if you’ve got tight spot close to where the magazine is you’re going to get a little deformation in the rifling on the slog and it’s going to harm your accuracy I know that gun you got can shoot less than 3/4 inch at 100 yards there’s no doubt in my mind

    Hello 👋
    Can the Huben k1 rifle reach a speed of 1000 fps in 40 grain slugs in 5.5 caliber please reply your follower from Iraq 🇮🇶

    • @gregorkamensek3923
      @gregorkamensek3923  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Short answer is NO. Long answer is, yes, potentially. I managed to achieve this. K1 is designed for max energy of about 100 joules although it goes a bit higher. It is also limited to slug length of 11 mm and there are not may slugs 40 grain that are 11 mm or shorter... The last limitation is the valve operation and the fact that wight higher pressure, the valve closes much faster and if you do set the pressure to upper limit (about 200 bars), you must open the power wheel fully but the gun still closest the valve a little too fast. That is good in perceptive of shot count and enables the gun to achieve very high velocities with relatively heavy slugs but with extremely heavy slugs, it is a limitation of power of sort. I would say that K1 will achieve about 110 joules with 40 grain slugs and 190 bar on the regulator for certain, but 120 joule is more of an exception than a rule (keep in mind that K1 barrel is only 560 mm long unlike for example FX 800 mm that can achieve these velocities with such heavy slugs)... you will also have a problem finding 40 grain slug that will fit in the magazine as I mentioned... Best weight for K1 is around 35 grain, that will give best accuracy and best power / velocity.

I followed and did that. Then it says Increase the regulator pressure up to 15-18 mpa. I did that. Then it says THE internal mechanism will "COCK" at approximately 10mpa and the magazine will actuate at approximately 15mpa.
      Gregore I tried it twice and it still would not cock and of course nothing after pulling the trigger. I need your help, I live in Florida and we have no Huban dealers. Thanks for your time. I appreciate it.

      @@garyjtrek Ok, this additional explanation helps. From my understanding, it seem like nothing happens when you pull the trigger. You are talking about cocking and reseting but this gun does not work like this, there is no cocking. The closest thing you could call to "cocking" is the closing of the main (also called "fire") valve. But if this would not happen, then the gun would dump the air in a matter of seconds... My assumption is that you have a common problem when even when you pull the trigger, the gun does not fire. This happened to me once and never again so I cannot exactly say what is the reason for it. In my case, I emptied the gun by releasing the air by the regulator (simply go down with the pressure until the air starts to leak form the reg...). Once empty, I set the pressure back up to 180 bars and then the gun fired... Also let me know the following: Have you made any adjustments to the trigger be the two screws at the back of the gun? If so, this could also be the reason for the problem...

      @@gregorkamensek3923 I have been on travel so first opportunity to get back with you. I followed your instructions and emptied the air pressure and then set the pressure back to 180 Bar but it did not reset the trigger. I did it twice but no reset. No adjustments to the best of my knowledge on the trigger. There is a video on removing the back plate and then manually resting but the Video does not match what my 2021 Huben. K1 looks like. Need your expertise. Thank you Gregor. Gary

    hello I would like to buy a huben K1, can you tell me which caliber will give me the most accurate please?

    • @gregorkamensek3923

      In my tests, the .22 gives me slightly more accuracy. It shoots well pellets as well as slugs. Also, the max power you gain by going to .25 is not that significant (if that is important for you).

      @@tzr44 Yes, I have. They work very well (accurate) but yo do need to set to rifle to very low pressure and turn the power wheel down. This is a very light pellet for this gun. JSB Monsters redesigned is a much better option in my opinion...
