agreed! they are great on that wonderful live album of joni's. what a fantastic lineup she had, showing how much respect she got from some of the best musicians at that time.
I am so happy to find this after many years. I always just loved this entire album. these guys were fantastic, and paid a great homage to frank with this effort. just brilliant.

I saw them open for FZ at Carnegie in 1971.They were very well received by a packed audience of Zappa freaks!!
This album is criminally under rated.
In my opinion so is Their Grateful Dead album entitled Mite as Well. Chec it out
