Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.
@@Heavenlywi1d here is some insight I was given when I asked about it long ago. Terrible does not mean what it use to. In the old days terrible some times ment some thing in between awesome and formidable. The example I was given was “Ivan the Terrible”. In more modern terms his nickname should be “Ivan the awesome or formidable ”. How ever he was terrible in the modern sense as well, especially to his enemies. How ever when I quote a scripture I want to do it correctly and that is indeed what it says. I like the King James Version of the Bible because it’s older than many of the more modern ones and has been translated less times. Sorry for the confusion. I hope this helps, it’s not a flaw in the Bible, it’s more of a case of English evolving. More modern versions of the Bible frequently use Awesome in the place of terrible. I honestly do apologize if my use of older texts came off wrong. That was not my intent. God bless!
So excellent motivation song
