People are only just now giving Volk the respect he deserves, the Ortega fight was the fight people started and after his late two dominate performances his haters have now become fans.
Volk is known for putting on technical masterpieces and being very tactical in his fights, which is all well and good for winning and getting appreciation from hardcore fans. But casual fans don't appreciate that and think its 'boring', even though Volk is far from a boring fighter. Casual fans love knockouts, wars and gritty fights, it took a gritty performance from Volk in the Ortega fight for them to start to appreciating Volk. But this third win over Holloway is enough silence any remaining doubters, nobody's calling Holloway the uncrowned king anymore.
People tend to forget Volk actually got dropped by Ortega and was all busted up himself more then against Holloway. If anyone gave Volk problems it was Ortega.

Bryan Battle is a criminally underrated prospect. He's better than Petrosyan and Gore, yet not many talk about him. He actually has some skills that the others in this season not only didn't display, but skills that led to finishes. He's moving down to Welterweight now, which might or might not be the right move. Usman will probably retire before he breaks top 15 there, but I could definitely see him getting into top 15. I see him beating Sean Brady, Magny, Chiesa, maybe Geof Neal at the moment. We'll see if I'm right. The sky's the limit for him.
They always do Volk dirty, he is too OP so extraneous factors have to ve against him. They did him dirty just recently by robbing him off of second belt after he literally solved the Dagestani problem, the first and only fighter in history to do so.

He went to the doctor and the doctor was on the fence about letting him fight. The doctor left the decision to him. During practice he could still throw hands but couldn't defend a take down with his injured leg. He had a hard time moving around and if he received a leg kick around the knee area he was done for. I know fighters fight injured all the time but I thought he made a good decision.
