When are we getting more garden of sadness covers? It's a new year a new year filled with hopelessness and misery let's celebrate this with some more covers
I appreciate the support. However, My spine disease is severely worsening, and it's getting more and more difficult to play. I do have a collab to work on next, but so far it's been months, and I haven't been able to do it. But once that's done - I'll be back to just playing drums over hopeless music. 100% - there will be more GOS drums covers! Thank you again 🖤
I want to thank you very much from the bottom of my heart for this cover and for all the nice words you wrote. On the one hand, I'm very pleased that my music has helped you in your life, on the other hand, I'm very embarrassed because I always felt like a nobody... Thanks anyway...
Thank you so much Marek! I truly appreciate you and all the music you have created (and continue to create). Your music is therapeutic for me. That's why I share it; I hope it will reach others and help them as well. I really relate to what you are saying; for my personal project (Abysmal Chaos), I actually go by the moniker "No-Body". Regardless, I would like you to know that I feel you are an extremely special and talented person. I'm beyond grateful for the music you have created and shared with the world. You're a lot more than a nobody! And I know others feel the same way; I've had requests to cover more of your material! Sincerely - thank you for reaching out! I've been non-stop listening to "Five Ropes" btw! It really has a unique sound and feel to it. Great work there! The musicianship is very impressive! Thanks again.
@@Depressed_drummer Many of us have a problem (among other problems) with extremely low self-esteem, so this is a cause for embarrassment, unfortunately. Nevertheless, I am very pleased that you appreciate my work, although I am aware that it's not an easy-listening style of music. BTW, I like your electronic drums a lot, as well as the "decoration" of your drumming corner. I feel weird making new music. The demos and first album and splits times were a little different. I felt more therapeutic creating and recording. Nowadays, I feel the void consuming me more and more, I feel empty, bored to death and destroyed, and I can't even decide what riff sounds quite good to put in a song, any of them sounds almost the same...
@@noctropolis27 this is true. A lot of us struggle with such issues. I also have a chronic nerve and spine condition, so my self-worth is non-existent. Thank you very much for the compliment on the drums and the "decorations"... 😉 I completely relate with what you're saying about recording. That's why my personal project has been idle since 2018. It's also the reason I started this channel; I thought it would inspire me to write music again. Not the case. I just feel absolutely no motivation to create music again. It doesn't do what it used to to do back in the day. Writing music used to be so therapeutic. Now I find it's even rare that I listen to music, let alone spend time composing it. When it's increasingly difficult to care about anything (including taking care of the self/body), how could one give a fuck about writing music?? That's why I applaud you and your efforts. Keep going; you help more than you know. "Five Ropes" continues to impress me btw. Great work!
@@Depressed_drummer I suspect your personal situation is also very, very hard... I'm sorry hearing that... I constantly lost my struggle with psychosomatic and anhedonia too. It's very hard to create music in such devastating state. The more I appreciate my creations mean something to you. I'm glad I can "help" even in that way.
@@noctropolis27 my personal situation is extremely hard. I live in a country where we put our tax dollars to fund wars instead of provide health-care to its citizens. So I just suffer with spine and nerve pain. But we all fight our own battles. Thank you for everything! I appreciate you!
I didn't expect, you finally made a cover for this song.. so excited!! nice song and your drum style is really great !! I just found out the lyrics for this song!! thank you and keep up your talent!!
Of course! Sorry it took some time since you requested it (I struggle with many physical and mental ailments), but I wanted you to know - I didn't forget your request (plus I love the song myself as well)! Understanding the lyrics Marek has put over his music just makes it hit EVEN DEEPER. Marek is one of the best! I'm glad you enjoyed this! Thank you!
Garden Of Sadness is one of my favorite projects. Marek captures the feeling of hopelessness so well. I have a couple other covers of his up on the channel... 😉😉 Oh, and he just released a new album 6-days ago (link is in the desc.)!
Very good job with the cover and the subtitles of the lyrics. Ofc I would love to hear more garden of sadness song. I am listening to the song advent sorrow - skin to suffer in. This would be another request which I would love to hear you play it.
Thank you so much again! I really appreciate the feedback! That's a fantastic song you mentioned. I will definitely cover it! I'm just wondering if I should cover the album version or the live version (as the live version has a slightly faster tempo). Any preference?
@@Depressed_drummer that's a good question I like both versions, but as far as playing along it's probably easier to do it with the studio version probably more steady tempo.
@@AA-ou2ye I have a couple songs I've been meaning to get to first, but then I will do this one! Still undecided if I'll cover the studio or live version...
