Aptonoth pairs super well with my favorite weapon, Gunlance. It works so perfectly together that it's hard to believe the devs DIDN'T intend for it to be this OP
Just as a heads up, you can also do this with HtH master and at least kinship up L with a lance to fully fill the kinship meter using one shelling, this can be used anytime you're targetted to instantly fill any kinship meter by freely swapping to the weapon/monster you'd like to use.
Know this is an old one, just as an FYI to anyone in the future. I dont think HtH master includes double attacks. Only raw HtH. So that gene isn't doing anything for you. As you suspected, the harmony gene isn't doing much, only discounts monstie skills you choose. Think you'd be better off having cheap moves (with tech/power/speed coverage) that inflict statuses and throw on an inflict rate up XL. Keep harmony in this case so the moves you pick are even cheaper. Also soul kinship XL. Cheap status moves: fireball M (tech, 12cost, 60-80% burn), noxious poison M (power, 14cost, 60-80% nox poison), blinding M (speed, 10cost, 30-50% blind)
also since genes stack, couldn’t you run double Soul Kinship just different sizes? I personally run Kinship Cost Down, Two HP Boosts, Soul Kinship XL, I left the Heal Skill on there maxed out so it can get random heals for a lot when it’s maxed, NonEle Atk Boost, and then a row of the three types of moves all low cost so i can set up double attacks with my aptonoth i would replace the heal skill or even the non ele atk boost with another soul kinship skill
My Aptonoth isn't optimized because i'm working on a lot of Normal types so not wasting the best genes on my meme aptonoth but, you could stack all the different Kinship genes but not of the same type. Different sizes of the same skill don't work because it's considered 1 skill and the highest takes priority
@@dylan-sk8mt No you can test this yourself by placing Health Up XL on a mon with no health boosts. Then look at the HP. Then add a less HP boost in a different slot, and count the HP. It will be the same as it was with only the XL. This is because skills work like armor skills. Health Boost is a single skill. When you have L, it overrides S, when you have XL, it overrides L.

Nah. Cuz it's part of the monsters base moveset. That would involve a complete overhaul and that's too much effort for the dev team.
