- Stunning Scenic Drive Along Highway 84 / Echo Amphitheater / Santa Rosa de Lima Ruins
Hey All! Ever the prepper, I thought I was just going to see the amazing views and hear the amazing sounds of the Echo Amphitheater in Abiquiu NM, but little did I know that this spot has several features that make it a real good place to hunker down if need be. Not only is the massive rock formation stunning in and of itself, but there is a wonderful dry camping section with gorgeous views and a lovey day use area with covered pavilions that make a great location to stop and take a break when driving by. Just beware of the pervasive red clay, it was everywhere.
And after that, I came across the Santa Rosa de Lima ruins. It is truly a wonderous and mysterious site - and well worth taking a little bit of time to explore. Just be mindful of the cars whizzing by, as this place is right on the side of the road.
There are two other intriguing points of interest along US-84, which are the Georgia O’Keefe Ghost Ranch and the Purple Adobe Lavender Farm. I did videos of both of these places. I included links for those in this video.
All said, if you ever have the opportunity to do this drive for yoursself, I HIGHLY recommend it. It’s simply gorgeous!

You do a good job of keeping those dogs white with this lifestyle. My dog has, shoes.
I have to admit they have magic hair 🧚🏼♀️ Like huskys, they have an oil in their hair that sheds dirts pretty quickly 😲 It's pretty wild! They could be a muddy mess one minute, and then 20 minutes later someone might comment that I must have just had them groomed!! 😜

Beautiful place! Hope to go there someday. Question: do you have full-time RV insurance? I have part-time coverage right now. I asked Progressive for a quote, but they require me to own a car also, or they wont be able to provide me full-timer coverage. 😕 will look for a used car to buy, but wish I could find a company that didn't require that. I live in NY.

I encountered the exact same issue bc I no longer own a car 🚗 either. Now, I DO have Full Time RV insurance 👍🏻 which I got through Good Sams 😁 It's NOT insurance with Good Sams, but rather they connected me with a insurance company that was pretty affordable and MOST IMPORTANTLY meant to cover a Full Time RVer 😉
