YES!!! So important for all your important documents like passports, house documents, birth certificates etc! It will for sure help you!!
Y’all my parents lawyer taught me this: if you don’t have the funds for a fireproof safe or organizer, put those documents in your freezer in a sealed bag. They may end up smelling a little bit off but it will protect them in case of fire.

I hate to break the excitement, but my parents whole town burned down a few years ago, and those do literally nothing. It's good for a grab bag (which you actually should have by the front door) but if your house actually burns to the ground, it doesn't matter what it's in. It's gone.

What does it mean more expensive to run washer during day?
In Ontario the cost of hydro/electricity is higher during peak hours from 7am-11am and 5pm-7pm! So it's more expensive to do laundry/dishwasher during those times because electricity/hydro costs more. It's cheapest to run them after 7pm on weekdays or anytime on weekends! It may not be like this everywhere but at least in Ontario it is!

I recommend getting your wrapping paper from Costco! It's super thick and better quality and the rolls are much larger. They come in 3-4 packs. The 4 packs have lines on the back for perfect measurements! Idk if you have a Costco membership, but if you do then I definitely recommend that!
Ok so unpopular opinion but I don't like thick wrapping paper because I find the tape doesn't stick BUT I will check it out next time we go to Costco! Hopefully they have it in Canada, I've never seen any!
@@CarterSullivan I understand that! I don't have any problems because I feel like the quality is so good with Costco's and especially not if you use the name brand scotch tape. I have gotten rolls from Target or TJMaxx and flown through them in like a few presents! Lol 😆

Is it really more expensive to do laundry during the day? 😮 It's the first time I'm hearing about this and I'd like some details, please haha. Is this a Canadian/North American specific thing?
I was always told growing up it uses more electricity/water to run your washing machine and dishwasher during the day so I only do it at night!!
In most places, Electricity rates are higher during certain times (peak hours).
In Canada it seems it’s just Ontario that has peak times. Did a quick google search. No difference where I am in Can lol

Girl get your wrapping paper at Costco! I think they're like $10 for a roll, they're double sided so you get two designs in one, and I've been using the same roll for 3 christmases now with no end in sight!!! Never going elsewhere for wrapping again!

Rather then donate old coats, hats etc to a store, we clean them then hang them in parks where homeless people tend to be so they can have free access to warm clothes
I typically donate to our local women's shelter as well! Going to make sure to bring the jackets there!

having survived and ACTUAL fire, i do not have one of those bags I have an 'oh shit' bag which is full of my paper essentials, a change of clothing, some water, snacks, and travel size essentials.
I've lived through several 'gtfo of the house' natural disasters and will never buy one of those lil bags because i have my oh shit bag... a literal $12 travel bag from target.
what are you doing with your life that you assume you're gonna be going 'omg theres a fire! i need to grab my bag, and my stuff'... no. tf no. that's not a thought at all. you put your oh shit bag NEAR (or behind) the front door (they hardly catch fire) so when you're running out you see it and grab it.... also, make sure it's water proof. for the love of god, make sure that bag is water proof.
