I'm glad that y'all feel that way. I definitely, 100% listen despite the tangents and not at all because of them. If he didn't do so many videos with such interesting topics I would never ever watch them. He is one of the naive and clueless people I listen to and he talks WAY too much on topics he knows nothing about.

The unknown face could be the creator of the pop art. If you're making art profiting from photos that you don't own and you're not going to get credit for it, why not sneak your signature in so that only you could really tell - and what a better way?
That's what I was thinking as well, that it's either the creator or someone the creator knows. Artists in the past have thrown little Easter eggs in work before for funsies.

I'm of similar mind. It could be the creator had a desire to be a celebrity and decided to Banksy the piece.
What I have learned from this is that maybe I'm not as celebrity-face-blind as I thought. Hollywood just hires a lot of people with the same face.
Same here. And even if they don't start with the same face, they apply makeup and plastic surgery until they fit the mold.
Youngish blonde female pop stars are the worst. They're almost impossible to tell apart unless they make a point of dressing quirkily. It's like their faces are issued by central casting.

I am convinced I am face blind but only for celebrities. The most obvious example is when I watch The Departed, I couldn’t follow the story the first time I watch it.

Looks like River Phoenix to me.
But it is interesting how a) a lot of people look like a lot of other people simply by using basic facial features and hair style, especially when reduced to minimum detail, and b) the power of suggestion plays a big part in this. Like if you never heard of this mystery and I told you, "It's River Phoenix," you'd probably believe me (assuming you're old enough to remember him). Our brains love patterns and seeing recognizable things/people in other things/people, but it can make simple identification difficult without context or more information.
I also thought River Phoenix and checked the comments to verify...the Viper Room version.

Two of the images were scaled differently from the source material, so it's possible the same thing has happened with this image as well. Also I wonder if they've tried flipping the image to search for it that way.

EDIT EDIT NO idea who Taylor Kitsch is but someone mentioned him in the comments here. Took a look and he looks similar to the picture as well. River Phoenix was a bit before the suggested time line so maybe someone else more recent like this Taylor bloke would be a better match. But man....being an "old" lady, I was like "That there, young whipper snapper is River Phoenix, one of my childhood, celebrity crushes!" Lol

Placing my vote for a young Val Kilmer. The photo would have to be taken before 2003, but there's no rule that the photos on the fabric have to be from 2003-2007, even if the other photos are from that time.

It's called the Bernoulli effect. That thing they made you do in science class where you hold a sheet of paper, let it flop down and then blow across it, creating lift.
Shower curtain does the same thing with the stream of water moving the air past the curtain.
And it is annoying😂
It's more noticeable with warm water, which means convection has more of an effect. The air is warmed, it rises, as you can see by the steam rising, which draws on cooler air from the bottom - dragging the curtain in with the lower pressure.
If you leave a gap down one side of the curtain, that allows air to flow in to the cubicle which allows the curtain to hang straighter.

And if you spray the shower curtain with water, pushing the bottom against the bath, it won't do it from personal experience. I figured everyone knew that solution. Maybe not.

It'd be funny if finding the artist actually *was* the answer because people are assuming that it's a celebrity, but inserting a self-image amongst a group of vaguely recognizable celebrity images sounds like a cheeky artist move.
Weird my parents first crossed eachothers path as elementary school aged kids at a World Fair in NYC. Decades later, meeting as coworkers they eventually started dating. My mom had a little crush that day but life went on and surprised the $h!t out of her that the same cute boy was now her future husband. Theyre still married..coming up on 44 years.

That lead my father to bring up how he was in an all boys choir who did perform there. Pictures were dug up sometime after and my mom couldn't believe her eyes. I believe that's the gist of it. 💓

Brits are always shocked when they find out the hardware stores in the USA sell machetes.
Machetes are a gardening tool not a weapon. I have a machete and use it about 20 days a year during the summer. I have never had the urge to act anyone and no one who saw me using it batted an eyelash.
I have seen landscapers using machetes and I found it 100% normal and mundane but I guess this scandalized the British
But we can buy machetes, axes, sickles and bush hooks etc in the UK. In regular hardware shops, department stores or online. Next time a Brit is "shocked" by you tell them to go to B&Q, ScrewFix or Toolstation and they can choose their machete off the shelf.
If you really want blow their mind, tell them that they can own swords and fighting knives too. I have a few, less likely that you'll get one from a local store, but there are lots of very good armourers in the UK that make and sell their own products online or you can buy antiques.
Oh yeah, almost forgot, we can own firearms too.

Of course you can buy big combat knives in the UK! They sell daggers, Rambo knives, machetes, Bowie knives etc. You can't carry them around on the streets but you can buy them. There are knife and crossbow and airgun shops at every decent sized coastal town in the UK. Simon I think you've been away from the UK too long mate!

An airgun is definitely not something to be showing off in public or else you get the armed police turn up thinking its a firearm!

Two things I've learned about Simon: he bought cheap, unweighted shower curtains and apparently he didn't rinse and clean them.

The answer to this is simple. It's based on that picture of Pitt but was drawn by an artist. For whatever reason the artist took some liberties on this one and didn't make it as accurate as the others. They may have been feeling a bit playful on the day they drew that one, or it may have been drawn by a different artist.

bernoulli principle - faster moving fluids are at a lower pressure. Hence, the flowing water from the shower draws the curtain inwards.

Simon, you take hot showers. The reason your curtain swings inwards is cuz all the air inside is hot af, and so that heat is escaping out the top. With air going out the top, it drags the loose swinging material of the curtain inwards. You can avoid this by either taking cooler (or cold) showers or by keeping the curtain open just slightly so that the heat is being let out the side instead.
Or just switch to a sliding shower *door*.

2:30 My now husband and I traveled to Prague in 2006. There was this AWESOME shop near the Prague castle that sold all manner of medieval weaponry, and we were sorely tempted to try to figure out how to check a poleaxe for our return flight...since we were essentially backpacking, we decided to forego the poleaxe in favor of a lovely 30ish cm dagger that fit in our luggage. We did, however, purchase a pair of giblets made from scraps of medieval glass reblown into new glassware with pewter stems. They ended up being our wedding goblets.

1. It is my understanding that it's normal curtain material, not a shower curtain.
2. This is a weirdly common error even on the subreddit; That's not the photo of Jessica Alba used on the cloth, the actual photo was taken a few seconds before or after that one. We do have that photograph and it is her.
3. It is my understanding that photo of Orlando Bloom was from a Japanese magazine.
4. The first image of Adriana Lima is believed to have been taken in 1999.
5. Please do not bother that seller on ebay about the cloth.
6. It's a particular kind of studio lighting. Some lighting is very even, like the stock footage shown, to cast few shadows. The lighting on Six is coming from above and to the viewer's right, causing the nose to cast a shadow over the cheek and leaving a pool of light under the eye. This makes the many, many red carpet events and such unlikely as they're usually more evenly lit. It is a fairly popular style in magazines though as it's very dramatic. Notably several of the other shots are candids.

In South Carolina you can buy ammo at gas stations. The best display I’ve seen were boxes of ammo on cases of cheap beer so that the ammo was at eye level. I love my state.

In texas we don't buy ammunition at convenience stores. They give it to us free with an alcohol purchase of $20 or more. State law. Lol
So I’m faceblind (prosopagnosia) and I don’t feel like I recognise celeb 6 at all! But that’s not uncommon. If a close family member shaved their head, changed their clothes and aftershave, put on a false voice and I would have NO idea who they were. At all.
I recognise people by their hair, gait (way they walk), height, scent, fashion taste, voice etc.
This totally sucks in some ways (when I’m trying to take my kids out, I have to remember their exact outfits and hairstyles!) but in other ways, I have figured out very quickly if someone is untrustworthy and have been very accurate (I have been betrayed by 2 people since I was 10, and both of them gave me bad feelings that I ignored)…
So to me faces are SO complicated, to see a whole face at once is like seeing every single leave vein on every leaf on a full tree all at once. I can see details and individual areas, but together it’s too much information to process for me. These high contrast, very basic shapes are not at all like the complex shapes a human has. They don’t look familiar or even vaguely human.

He died way before the time frame of the other photos, but that would explain why the photo hasn't been found, no one was looking at old photos from the 60's and early 70's.

I have a suggestion of who it might be. A lot of artists sign their work (I don't but I'm weird). So I propose that this is a rendering of the artist themselves as a sort of signature for the work.

Ok so my theory is that it is Emilie De Ravin (Claire on Lost) in a photo with her hair half back, and wearing a jacket. The artist also flipped the image and that's why we're having so much trouble figuring out who it is. She has the same hairline and jawline, just on the opposite side of her face. If someone wants to look into this, I suggest (as an artist myself) to first check imdb. I just did some surface lvl googling, but with so many images from Lost, and multiples of one celebrity, I would bet that's where the artist got started on this project.

I've thought it was Taylor Kitsch since I first saw the picture. He was in Friday Night Lights, which was big around the right time, and the hair is right. I tried to find the picture once and found a bunch that looked similar but obviously none exact
At first I thought this was some TV model, then I thought she looks like Karolia Kluft, but on closer inspection it can't be her, then I thought maybe kit Harrison.
pretty sure she's a model, and it's a still from a catwalk. 100% seen that photo hundreds of times but never knew her name.
