I’ve just finished rewatching Star Wars Rebels again, and her being force sensitive makes complete sense, but it also makes sense that her path is harder than others because while she exhibits signs of higher force sensitivity, she is not a natural like Ezra. However, she does show an ability to connect to the Dark Saber under Kanan’s training, so it makes some sense that she would eventually train under Ahsoka. Maybe more surprising is that Ahsoka agreed to train her, but that’s another question altogether.
IMHO "Force Sensitive" is a misnomer. As Kanan said when he was training Sabine to wield the Darksaber, The Force is in everything and everyone. So, theoretically anyone could tap into the Force with enough training, but that training takes a lot longer and is more difficult if you are not naturally talented. The Jedi scooped only kids who had this talent which allowed them to instinctively touch the Force even without training, making the Jedi Temple essentially a school for the gifted. Sabine is not a 'genius' like those who were trained by the Jedi, The Force didn't come easy to her, even with Ahsoka training her and I can't help but wonder if the unique environment of Peridea was a factor in Ahsoka managing to 'spark' Sabine's Force Connection when reaching out to her through the Force.
I'm not against the idea that Sabine could become a Jedi. I personally like the idea that anyone could use the force with enough training (though it doesn't really seem that Sabine had enough training). The thing I didn't lie though was how Sabine was just suddenly able to use it comppletely, and to do such a complicated move as throwing Ezra onto the ship. Ezra and Canaan often did these throws, but they practised all the time. Sure, Sabine would have seen them, and realized it was a thing. But I just don't feel that she should have even been confident enough to suggest it. If anything, she should have suggested Ezra throwing her and Ahsoka.
You know, I do hope. Sabine wren Makes her own lightsaber. Color purple and Ezra gets his green lightsaber back as well as having two lightsabers green and blue.
