    Excellent video since I have PTTD but the background music was very distracting at times it was louder than your voice.

    Had a bad dislocation,break,surgical repair. Healed great but still managing soft tissue issues. Slowly building up strength and distance walking. This is a great help. Thanks. Do you have more foot and ankle support videos? Thanks gain

    I’ll try this. Whenever I skate (inlines) the area from under my big toe to the arch gets really upset

    Excellent content. Thank you! I urge you to skip the background music. For me it just distracts from you speaking. Frankly it is really hard to do background music and often on TH-cam I end up cutting out early cuz the music is so distracting. My two cents!

      @howdymegan -
      I agree completely.
      Music is not necessary and actually adds nothing. If he were talking to me directly, there would be no music playing!🙃

      As someone with an occasional bouts of diplacusis due to an inner ear issue, background music keeps me from hearing the spoken content well, often resorting to closed captioning if music is overpowering. Otherwise, brilliant video.

    I have this exact tendon condition but I also have severe plantar fasciitis also. Do you recommend this style of taping for me?

    Believe it or not, I hurt my right foot playing golf😢😢. Below ankle bone I have swelling. Soaking in ice. I am wondering if tapping will help recovery.

  • @melindah4456

    Would you recommend both taping methods to be worn at the same time?

    • @focusrehab
      @focusrehab  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      absolutely worth trying to see how it feels. I avoid overstretching the tape and stay in the mid to slightly above mid range (50-75%) especially when I'm adding more pieces. Good luck!

    which wrap do you recommend for hiking light jogging in sand? I have flat feet and am in training for a 17 mile trail event where two people share a horse and jog/hike when on the ground. My Saloman trail runners are great, but not supporting my arches quite the way I would like to be comfortable and avoid injury. Which one might work best?

    • @focusrehab
      @focusrehab  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      that sounds like a great event! honestly I would try doing them both since the tape is so flexible. I have worked with runners/athletes who needed to use a more stiff tape like Elastikon just for events to really stabilize the arch - this tape may not be enough but give it a shot!

    ??? I've been waiting for almost a year to find out why my foot still hurts after a sprain, it's not my arch ,it's the outside of foot to the area under my ankle. I've given up pretty much on Dr's, how should I tape for this area

    • @focusrehab
      @focusrehab  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      this is usually the peroneal tendon and near ligaments after ankle sprains. i have a peroneal tendon taping video, take a look: th-cam.com/video/dNgbp4cfAwI/w-d-xo.html

  • @bobblefish

    Ooo, this looks like it could be a solution for being at a dojo barefoot without having arch support. The part on the first piece where you said we can't see the tendon - I did not see mine. Can I just estimate?

    • @focusrehab
      @focusrehab  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      many people find experimenting a little with tension and placement helps them find the best results, so I think you should be fine estimating. good luck!

    Please resist the urge to play music when making tutorials. It really is annoying!
