If you use Courseplay, Autodrive and the GPS mod in 22 you are not going to gain anything in 25. The base game helpers are better, but I cant remember the last time I used a base game helper in 22, but do use them for simple jobs in 25. Actually, the GPS mod in 22 was much more intuitive than the version in 25.
The GPS isn't any better, kinda worse but makes up for it slightly as it has a lot more angles to go at so rather than just up and down it will try and do more curves. It limits you to certain amount of headland though and won't let you do just 1 on a lot of equipment(most of the time) the ai seems to start harvesting huge corners of the field rather than doing its very limited job options that you choose. It really sucks ATM gives you a headache. Makes me laugh not one company has made an xbox compatible farmstick
I think ground deformation in 25 is smoke and mirrors. It doesn’t really “move” the soil, just programmed ground geometry based on what went over it. If it was real deformation it wouldn’t erase deep tire ruts completely when you drag a piece of equipment over (except maybe a plow or subsoiler). Furrows still being at pre-defined angles is the giveaway that the ground isn’t deforming, it’s just painting a 3D map instead of a graphic texture.
Has anyone looked at the steam charts for this game (for reviews)? I bought the game on release (biggest mistake ever), and it had Mixed reviews score... I mean game was (and still is) buggy as hell, nothing was implemented properly, everything is very very shallow (especially for a 3 years worth of "work")... but then, all of the sudden, on 27th and 28th of November, game got huge spike in positive reviews... out of nowhere... yes, 27th of November was start of the steam autumn sale... but game was not discounted a single cent... nothing, zero... and most of the "positive reviews" are very very very basic... like "great", "good game" etc... Maybe im going too far with this, but for me, that was very very sketchy...

Released in Nov 2024 and as of Jan6th 2025 ps5 console has almost zero content. still buggy and issues. I have not even played this game now for nearly two weeks because of issues and lack of content and feel i wasted my money. Too many reviews and folk out there seem to be going ott to 'protect' this game and try to shut up anyone who dares show it for its faults.
All the hardcore fans bought it at release and weren't happy and the 27th buyers were people who didn't have a lot of experience with fs19 and older so they didn't realize the issues with 25.

I personally feel Giants are some of the laziest devs around, they do as little as possible for each update, which mostly consists of adding mods into the base game, except they never seem to be as good as the mods were. 19 was the last time i pay for anything giants do. If 25 becomes free on Epic in x time i will get it, but i will not pay for lazy devs exploiting the excellent modding community and charging the silly money they ask for small updates!

So what I do like about 25 is the implementation of mud in the tire tracks when you travel is swampy terrain. Ground deformation is OK and I think the fog and the lighting through the fog looks good. Other than that….eh. So buggy.
Fs25 ---- Im playing on xbox series s and have only noticed a couple of issues you pointed out, such as the mack truck hitting the krampe trailer when attaching (also happens with both base game underbelly trailers i have not used the krampe trailer yet)
Very important note you made on scale. They have drastically altered the point of horizon. I’m sure that had untold impact on the internals of the engine “correcting” the perspective.
I was originally told (by a random person on reddit, always a great source) that 25 was going to have Snowrunner-level ground deformation, which they do not. So that was a little disappointing from that aspect. For the most part, I'm still happy with 22. I only really watched 25 on stream and it doesn't really make me want to buy it. I know 25 also has a GPS built in, but from what I've seen, the Guidance Steering mod in 22 looks better. So yeah. I think I'm staying with 22 for now.

When 25 came out completely switched over to 25. Have almost 200 hrs in. I play console but I haven’t experienced any game breaking issues others did. While you are correct about the graphics not advance very much I do believe it was for a reason. I think giants put the graphics on the back burner to develop the new game/ physics engine. I think it would be hard for people to argue that the new game physics haven’t greatly improved from 22. Vehicles feel like they actually have weight to them. Cars and tractors drive and handle better. Over the past 2 weeks I switched back to 22 to achievement hunt and get 100%. For me it’s hard going back to 22 because I got use to the new physics and the gps feature, and it hard playing 25 without the ease of life mods 22 has. 25 will get better. It took a while for them to work the bugs out of 22 and it will take time to work the bugs out of 25.
Yes, I agree. they definitely made changes to the game to make it better. My main problem though is all the issues from older games that just get carried over into the next game. It will definitely get better, it's just a shame we have to wait for the modding community to fix Giant's lack of care.
Having made the huge mistake of buying this on release I have barely played this game because of all the issues and severe lack of content ( ps5 console). graphics, textures and other just bad looking crops and land also makes it feel like i have gone backwards. Worst visuals for me is the grass and hay. far too many ported over issues from 22 to 25 just shows how lazy Giants have been in making this game. And when they advertised this game with ' amazing fog graphics' and ' ground deformation' as though they had just invented this for this game when these details have been in other games for years. Thankyou for making this video it is refreshing to see, compared to all the ones still trying to make this game look awesome. The only thing I like with this new game is the gps for console, but other than that this game needs a serious over haul already.
Yeah as of now 22 is just the better game. I'm interested to see how 25 develops though. Maps and mods will keep coming out and hopefully help fix Giant's mistakes.
19 was the last farming sim I bought from Giants. I tried 22 through other means but hated the UI, not to mention it just looked like a slight graphic upgrade which made me even less interested. 25 looks to be more of the same, just like 22 so I think I'll just skip it as well.
I am lucky enough to be able to run both sims on max settings, running a rtx4080TI but FS25 is graphically at least on my PC superiour, especially sunrises and sunsets look amazing and rain effect overall give a really nice touch, sadly the game is still in a early acces state, so many little annoying bugs that won't make it a great game. Still i had this too with FS22, but patches and mods fixed most of the issues with that game, FS2025 is just still too new for that, thus needs patience before stuff gets fixed, either by the developer, or modders, and that i knew would be the case right for the start, so i'm not complaing and take it for what it is right now. But i agree they made a sloppy game, but sadly that seems to be the industry standard now a days
People who talk like that have clearly not really played or delved into fs25. I switched to fs22 2 days ago purely for mining. You see and feel the difference between fs22/fs25. What is very bad is that the game does not run well. console. I play PC and have no problems with any minor errors
Brother I've played FS25 for 120 hours and FS22 for 1600. obviously the newer game has improvements but I simply feel they aren't enough as they had 3 years to work on it.
I said this between 19 and 22 on steam and i got massive backlash. All i said was track marks wasn't worth a new game, it was a dlc. All the updates you stated could of been in an update within the original game
I'm still playing 22. Waiting a bit for 25. The only thing I think I really want 25 for is the gps

Yeah it's not great, but it is a start. I definitely want to see rowcrop and accurate furrows soon because the 3D textures are garbage

I built a new computer for fs25. I loaded fs22 onto it, and the game looks so good I've decided to stay on fs22. It looks like a new game😅

I had to refund the game for how poorly it ran. I have a high-end pc and would get consistent stuttering on normal graphics.
