JP is a polarizing character who is hyper focused on zoning. Get into his dead zone and you can really ruin his day. Unless you're Zangief, in which case, condolences. Many characters who are blessed with really good mid range buttons can usually outpace JP, since his best normal pokes have crappy range or he cannot convert.
MK9 was my first fighter, always stuck with the MK series since then. Downloaded SF6 and it seems overwhelmingly complicated and would take a lot of time to learn. MK just felt natural pretty immediately
