- Strasburg Railroad #475 and #90, running on the same day in Strasburg, PA.
For crossing signal fans: there are old RACO and WRRS signals in this video. The old RACO signal nearest to me in the beginning of the video has new RECO 4" LED gate lights and the other signal has Safetran 8" incandescent lights; other than that, these signals are all RACO. As for the old WRRS signals at the end of the video, they have RECO 4" LED gate lights; other than that, these signals are all WRRS. Date: 08/19/07.
When you think of Strasburg. Engine 90 always come to mind. And that great whistle and fantastic bell
Thanks! I've checked out some your videos, and they are excellent! Your IRM videos are my favorite.
One of the best whistles I have ever heard on any steam locomotive.
When I click on your newest video, it brings me to this old one of the steam engine.
The Strasburg Railroad's line from Strasburg to Paradise is only about 4 miles long, and the trip only lasts about 45 minutes. The first crossing is on Fairview and the second crossing is on Paradise Lane. There are 5 or 6 crossings on this line.
Thanks!
OMG! I LOVE THE STRASBURG RR! Road on it several times as a kid. Haven't been there is years, got to get back! AWESOME!
one thing to say about #90... for a decapod locomotive, SHE SURE CAN MOVE!
#90 whistle= eargasm
475's whistle is just god-awful! #90's whistle is just beautiful!
Yes, they are RACO signals. Thanks!
awesome!! I wish steam locomotives would come back. it would be a wonderful sight to see these beautiful engines as the majority on the railways of america again from sea to shining sea.
That's because my memory card was full.
nice bell on the 1st crossing.
and the 2nd crossing, took the arms long enough to come down once the crossing went off. lol
Awesome video,great job, 5 stars!!
I like locomotive #90 because I like #90's whistle sounding and bell sounding
#90 Was The First Time I Didnt Close My Ears When Its Whistle Screamed To The Wind...
(Epic)
love 90's whistle
cool video
but how many trains aday go through there and what are the rd names for these crossings and how many crossing are there on this line thanks great video again five stars and fav
I grew up on 1218, so 475's hooter is simply the sweetest music. But, with that said, it's an acquired taste.
The first crossing looks like a old RACO style one. BTW, very nice video.
ok so there are like two trains going from Strasburg to Paradise all day weekends too so how long did u have to wait for the train at these crossings
ahh thats too bad but at least they ring when the gates go up too
man ur going to all the places i want go to
well thanks for the reply
You don't need a schedule. The line is short, and the ride is not very long. The train goes from Strasburg to Paradise all day.
oh and how do the other crossing bells work do they stay on or shut off thanks
thanks and how many trains aday
or where would i get a schedule
i always wanted to see this line
You're right.
Aahh, my favorites!! a Norfolk and Western, and a Honda Element!!! the horns and whistles on both could be better though, lol.
Too bad you cut off the end of the gates going up...
The first Strasburg crossing in the video is the only one where the bell stays activated when the gates are down. Too bad!
I miss the first kind of set in this clip. You don't this set anymore.
HEY! I went there!
It's electro-magnetic.
how do you build the old hello dolly car from scratch?
Most people know.
Thanks!
