I heard the tale end of this piece on the radio about a week ago in the US. It gave me goosebumps! I was driving and didn't write down anything, I just remembered double bass, Andres, and that the performer was immediately hired in Trondheim, Norway I think. So beautiful.

Dominik’s instrument is a 200+ year old bass from an unknown Italian maker. To get something similar… you’re probably looking at a bare minimum of $60K USD.

Nugatory Cognizance One whole step up. He is using solo strings.
He plays so effortlessly that he makes it sound as if they are but they are only tuned up a whole step
