Who's watching in 2024? Mark Pettit Jr.
Beloved “singing professor” inspired thousands of students throughout his four decades at BU Law.

Have you started law school yet? How is it? How hard is it? Is it what you expected? I’m so nervous to start!!

Had the highest grade in Contracts first semester...no one cares except me, but this will always be a great moment in my life. Torts lowered my avg to around top 1/3 in the class. Prof was somewhat like this one

I had Mark for secured transactions. One day, he decided to take whole class to see Repo Man, a movie somewhat relevant to Article 9 of the UCC.

How is restitution different from reliance?
Restitution: Give back to promisee whatever she lost in contract.
Reliance: Give back to promisee so she is in the same position as before the contract.

    • @patrickmcmanus1360

OK I get it - benefit Promisor received is resitution, but detriment to plaintiff is reliance

Sounds like a variation on a theme of Hawkins v. McGee. Give us the facts, Mr. Haaaaart. I love the Peerless case. Oh, dear, what a mistake.

Ok so... An appeal is saying "hey! Someone with MORE EXPERIENCE NEEDS TO LOOK AT THIS!" Until the process is exhausted by experience.. sounds logical.. BUT, I am a firm believer in viewpoints as well... which changes over time and becomes progressive.

Attorney is a dishonest profession. I would recommend to study law as a hobby and to stay in honor.
