In all the many years that I’ve had my Singer machines, first the 360, now the 700, I’ve never tried the lace carriages, I do have both lace carriages, many thanks for this video Cindy.
I think "Spartan" might be able to help you. Otherwise keep an eye on Ebay and Etsy. here is Spartans webpage.... spartan-knitting-machine-parts.ueniweb.com/
I just got a 360/260lc it frightens me lol... because of theneedles like bending then flipping over its scary lol also do you have suggestions for using like fine yarn like lace yarn? i find it drops stitches
With the Singer lace carriage - it is very un nerving to watch the needles flex and twist. But that is what they were made to do. I have more love for the SK360 lace carriage then I do for the Brother brand lace transfer carriage. When it comes to lace on the singer machines you need to find the balance on the weights - see if you can find the "lace weights" which are wide toothed bars that hold the fabric evenly and they contain a perfect weight inside them (Not the brother cast on comb) they should have come with the lace carriage.
It is the edge pins or is your lace carriage sinker plate your issue. You need to ensure you clear the work and have enough space for the yarn shuttle to move to the opposite side of the bed.
@@CJMactaggartknits please I don’t understand what u mean by enough space…I have moved the edge pins 1 needle from the initial beginning of my work..then from my right side I moved the edges 2 needles away from my work…so far..it has not drop any stitches yet
@@lottopredictions3966 I mean you did not move your carriage far enough away from the edge of your fabric for the sinker plate's shuttle to move across.

@@CJMactaggartknits do they look like little small claws?
@@stevemichael8186 those are claw weights - they fold up. The lace weights are about 15cm wide
Hello Can I ask what was the size of your needle?
Which needle? do you mean the machine itself - it's spacing is 4.5mm.
My needle stock on my lace carriage I found a way to fix it. Now every time it knit it drop stitches
@@EnjuAhmed you should order some new ones. You can buy them on Ali Express you just need to make sure you order the right ones for your machine.
My edge pins are not working properly..it still drop stitches at sometimes even 3stitches😑
