      I am really disappointed that its has to go this far. You used to be one of my favorite creators but to just put this behind a paywall is ridiculous. You never put world saves behind a paywall so why now?

  • @StellarisIgnis
    @StellarisIgnis 2 ปีที่แล้ว +44

    I am at 195 hours in my current world and I still haven't turned phase three in yet. Trying to build a massive train network that encompases the whole map, with a total reliance on trains rather than trucks or conveyor belt busses. It is a very logistical nightmare that is really fun to set up.
    I have noticed that modular builds really do help negate the lag in the game outside of that pesky autosave lag that takes longer and longer the more I build on the world xD.
    I am now at about 483 hours in the game total and still love the game. Still a newbie in comparison to some people lol.

    • @schroedingerscat2.054
      @schroedingerscat2.054 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I actually did that. Replaced main conveyor bus with a train system. I also used fluid carriages instead of pipes. Looked awesome and flow through was more than adequate but without some sort of logistics system that can order trains as required you get a lot of trains being unable to fully load/unload so efficiency suffers.

    • @StellarisIgnis
      @StellarisIgnis 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@schroedingerscat2.054 I am currently solving that problem with multiple train lines that input at different stations within a megastation and carry those resources to be sent to other facilities to be processed.

    • @schroedingerscat2.054
      @schroedingerscat2.054 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@StellarisIgnis I was trying to feed each "factory" (ie supercomputers) with trains. Each component was delivered by trains to an unloading station that sorted it with a smart splitter array to various storages. The idea was to have flow from storage directly to manufacture to storage for shipment. All machines were fitted wih all input belts even if not required for the recipe.
      This way recipe changes would be simply a matter of changing which trains came to the station and of course, changing the machine recipes.
      One thing I should mention just in case you were unaware. You should build really tall fluid storage and unload your trains at the top and draw from the botton. Game mechanics means that until the pipes are higher than the original filling level ( it might be actual fluid level, not sure)you shouldn't need pumps as long as the pipes are continuous.

    The only thing, that this game needs in terms of power production is a Thermonuclear Fusion Reactor. And perhaps a Dyson Sphere in the far future if the map will become bigger itself.
    Anyway, as always great video :)

    • @Gamering8482
      @Gamering8482 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a mod called the refined power mod that has both of those things. The fusion reactor uses advanced fuel rods and reactor coolant to run, and it makes 5GW of power. The Dyson sphere takes FOREVER to start up and once it is, it’s also very hard to keep it running. But it makes 1TW of power so if you can keep it running good for you. But I just built a ton of fusion reactors because it’s much easier lol.

    Hey there Kibitz! love all your play throughs, and your tour of your adventures in Satisfactoryland! I've a question, or a couple questions, I decided to try using the plutonium fuel rods, instead of sinking them, so now I've got a problem with Plutonium waste, not uranium waste!! my thought was, any waste could be processed into re useable fuel rods, WRONG! plutonium waste is not re useable, it can't be transported by anything other than conveyor belt!! trains won't load it, splitters (smart or programable) won't separate it, except as anything undefined, do you think this was just an oversight, like some programmer forgot to list it, or on purpose to limit it's use?? guess I'll just belt it to some storage container in some barren plateau far away on the map!! but it burns slower in the reactors than uranium fuel rods, it's almost too hard to give up using it!!! I know your not a mega expert on satisfactory, but with your hours of play, I value your opinions of it! thanks lots, either way

    In my own world, my goal is a nuclear power plant that uses all 2100 Uranium on the map, with full Plutonium recycling. Oddly enough, I've settled on much the same location as you for the factory that will produce the Crystal Oscillators, Radio Control Units, and Electromagnetic Control Rods, right smack dab in the middle of the Rocky Desert.
    For reference, a maxed out nuke plant like that makes exactly 50.4 Uranium Fuel Rods and 22.4 Plutonium Fuel Rods per minute. This also happens to be the most power-generating ratio if you decide to consume the Plutonium rods, even though it is technically possible to make more by sacrificing some Uranium Fuel production. It makes (and thusly consumes) 2,520 Uranium Waste per minute.
    I needed to build a massive aluminum refinery first to generate enough Fused Modular Frames for the Plutonium processing, and consume 3 pure nodes each of caterium + copper to make 14,000 Quick wire/minute.
    I've also adopted your practice of laying train tracks along the main "roads" on the map, with the occasional small bridge where really needed, it feels more natural and interesting that way.

    If you have drone bases randomly placed, how do you resupply them all with batteries? Do they bring them back on the return trip?

      He doesn't need to supply every drone base, only the one they end up supplying. The drones can just get the batteries for a 2 way flight in there and they are golden.
