- Map started out rather slow but man it was so worth it to keep playing! Really fun in the end with some super charming ideas, a good map to start the HP3 custom map journey on!
Rated this a 7 on stream. Not the prettiest but amazing ideas and honestly just overall rly fun to play. True ending borderline imposible though ngl...

Wow I only just discovered this video. I am nottud the map creator. Thank you for playing through my map. What you said in the video about what I did is mostly true. I had a lot of issue using the editor, performance issues, and there was a lot of stuff I had to learn that others didn't know how to do. Congratulations on finding most of the secrets first time through!
Hey there, that's super awesome to see you here, glad you ended up finding my playthrough of your map! And thank you for building this, I have very fond memories of it as the first HP3 map I have ever played! Must have been pretty tough to build this back then with the very limited resources but it was worth it, turned out very well!
Oh and the secrets were mostly super cool, I love hunting for those in custom maps 😀
@@Nixxo Yea I went off some tutorials I saw and the rest was a load of guesswork - there's a load of stuff I found that wasn't covered such as more native character switching, more advanced control of chests spawns, and probably the biggest thing being how to do those "paywalls" by exploiting the existing objects in Fred's shop and swapping the models.

It's a pretty cool room for sure, a bit much for me but fun to look at 😀
@@Nixxo Yeah lol and know wonder should have made more Harry Potter games because know wonder makes Harry Potter easier to play than something that is not know wonder and 3 of the games has a different time length and so the first one I know it makes you part of the game and it’s almost as long as the second game which the first game there’s a little much stuff and for the second game there’s a lot more stuff to do and the third game it doesn’t have much to do and that know wonder made it short a little
I couldn't agree more, they should have brought Know Wonder back for HP4! I assume the reason for HP3 being that short and "shallow" (I still love the game) is that they had to start from scratch again since a new engine came out. For HP2 they could build on the old engine they made HP1 in so they probably had more time to flesh it out...
@@Nixxo Know wonder for all HP games 1/8 would of been a lot easier and know wonder is the only thing that makes those Harry Potter games easier and they could just use the same music from the first 3 games and then some new music I usually play the Harry Potter games the first 3 once every month and I grew up playing that game and I like the music from the second game
Jeremy Soule OST is GOATED for sure. They do actually reuse parts of it sometimes in the later games actually but yeah nothing beats the magic of those themes playing while you discover secrets in the castle of the first 3 games 😀
The caves and waterfalls remind me of the HP1 fireseeds level!

Seems to me as it needs a bit more fine tuning, so all works smoothly as intended and you have a real chance to get all the stuff. BUT what I really liked are the ideas, some of them I dont have seen before in any other map. The boss fights were cool, some mechanics very well thought out. In the end I didnt mind the lousy environment that much. The mini challenges for the trio were a bit disappointing though. Overall its a 7/10 for me.

I kind of love that theory of an evil version of Hagrid being the antagonist of this map xd I meaan he did trap Hermione in his (very ugly) hut so that makes him pretty suspicious I would say...
@@Nixxo And maybe he even wanted to lure Ron there, since there was a "here's Scrabbers" thing. And it could also be that there was a sleeping pill in the teacake that he offered Harry's. Anything can be happen... :D

Yea I found the editor and made the maps right after notable people just disappeared. Very sad I missed the boat.

That bossfight definitely goes onto the list of things I never knew I needed in my life but I ended up rly enjoying xd
This requies patience as well in my opinion. Wrong moves can lead to unopenable sections. Well played anyway.
Yeah I think you were supposed to play this map super slow and cast on everything to not forget any kind of currency and be able to open all sections... Still a bit too tight on currency imo

Beans/pumpkins: yes!/yes!
Glitches, softlocks, bugs preventing 7/10
General rating: 8/10!

As the creator it is lovely to see feedback. In hindsight I would go back and touch up the map in the initial areas though been years since I have touched it.

Wow fast reply! I made the map using UnWorld editor. I must admit I only half knew what I was doing and had some horrible freezing performance issues but I persevered and made that map. It ends where it did because the editor freezing was getting too annoying. Happy to discuss everything with that level and the making of it.
There are a few issues, but overall a really cool map

There is one thing I wonder why did they never make the harry potter and prisoner of Azkaban ps1 version because I did read somewhere that they still made ps1 games in 2004 it would had been cool to see how it would had look liked since they made the two first games for the ps1 so why did they ditched the idea to make the 3rd game for ps1 ?.
That is a really really good question, I would have so loved to see the PS1 version of Buckbeak or the Dementors lol I heard somewhere that they even had plans to develope that game for PS1 already before they scratched it, I assume it was too much effort and money needed to make it happen on a console that was on its way out at this point so they probably sadly didn't consider it financially worth it anymore 😐

I believe since Harry is the only character supposed to be able to cast Glacious in the main game they didn't record the spell with Hermione's voice actress so everytime Glacious is used from anyone they use his voice 🤣
