Now I just can't wait til next spring to see your wildflowers bloom!!!!
I think I actually love this channel more than the mudlarking. I love seeing your home, garden and the critters. New little boy looks like Bryan or maybe just Mack for Makerel, which is the pattern of tabby he is. I am sure you will find a good and unique name for him.
There is no bigger victory than winning over a feral kitty! He is a stunner ❤
I dearly love to watch you ladies. You are so hard working and talented. Thanks.
The curtain rod + rings and fittings was an incredible find. Now you need a fireplace surround.
I can’t wait to see your room coming together
Keep working with the kitty. I have a house full of ferals and worked with getting them tame. He's beautiful ❤️
Happy Birthday Alex!! What a wonderful gift!!! 🎉
Always amazed at all that you tackle. Do you have a master list that keeps you on track or do you get up and say what should I attack today? I always enjoy you videos and your beautiful countryside.
The flowers are stunning, beautiful colours.
To descale a electric kettle, tablets to clean dentures works. For your hot water pipes, bicarbonate of soda or baking powder is cheaper than a butcher or a plumber 😂
I have a feral cat inside. Weeellll, he's not the most feral cat I've had. Before he came inside, he was letting me pet him while I fed him and the other cats. Elizabeth was about the most feral cat I had but I only briefly, from the time Mandy died and I got some other feral cat, I've pretty much had a feral cat inside since 1982.
The fast forward on the tractor was the highlight of my day 😀 Like watching a kids programme lol. Such a cute kitty, hope he trusts you soon. Bargain curtain pole, its a gorgeous colour!!
How I love these videos !
That mauve rose is gorgeous!
Beautiful boquet Gail! The Schoo’s were so cute when they were babies!Thank you for another wonderful video Ladies!
I don't blame the little cat for staying away from you when you talk about his cherries like that! 😅
🤣😅🤣😆
Country living is hard work no matter what country you're in.
Hallo ihr Lieben
Wieder einmal ein sehr schönes Video.

Speeding up the tractor/mower was hilarious
Oh! that Peter and his tractor was crazy fast!! 😂😅
Good day to you ladies. Watching you get things done around the garden and yard is very peaceful and serene, Thank you for a relaxing video. ❤
Flower arranging and bridge dismantling. That's a rare mix.
Can't wait to see how your bedroom turns out. I think it will be beautiful just like you ♥️ keep up the good work ❤
I wish I could be there in person. Love all you channels.
Kitty is so sweet. I love his markings.
You are both doing amazing things around your homestead! I know it is hard at times, but keep up the wonderful work you are doing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
I nearly missed this as I’m away from the NE down in my own county of Yorkshire. I would. Never have forgiven myself missing the vid. Glad I caught it. Glad Peter cut the grass down for you. By the way is there anything that you two lovely ladies will not tackle you amaze me every time. All the best .
Lol. Watching the tractor sped up was like watching the Indy 500 here in the States!
That is A beautiful curtain rod and rings
The lavender roses are beautiful!
Grat curtain rod...bravo.
!!Hi from the USA ! Loved this video!can’t wait to see all the flowers in the spring,You have so many lovely flowers! Your poppies are just gorgeous !and your roses oh my!!you girls are amazing!loving the little Tom ,it won’t be long till he will be purring in front of your wood stove Alex!❤️So thankful you have good friends to help you with the “heavy lifting “ and mowing ,can’t wait till you reveal your mystery project ! Love the curtain rod so beautiful!what a great deal! So glad you are trying the crockpot method for your hardware. You will be thrilled at how good it works btw you don’t need baking soda just the water and overnight soak! You ladies take care! Wonderful to see you on both your channels I look forward to both. My grandson runs in at the mud lark roundup to spot dolly in your finds😁he loves that you do that and so do I,
I love that wooden rod. ❤ I have spent many years as a custom drapery consultant and I have never seen one that diameter before. Plus the bag of wooden rings is amazing . You'd pay 15.00 for a pkg of 7 ( normal size) 😮 . Plus you have the finals . Great deal ladies.
Lacey and Huxley ⚘❤
Best duo on TH-cam. These video’s showing your quaint, peaceful life bring so much joy to me here in the US in these turbulent times. You really have no idea. Thank you ladies, truly, for bringing me and many others something calming, simple and beautiful to take our minds off the chaos. ❤
Wonderful video Ladies really enjoyed it! ☺️ beautiful beautiful flowers! Before long Alex you will have the kitty eating out of you hand! Have you named him yet? 😊💐🫶🏻
These glimpses into your life are so relaxing to watch. I hope you're able to eventually tame man-puss - he's gorgeous. Love your poppies - inspiring me to order seeds for my Mom's Christmas. She has 5 acres & plenty of space for more blooms. Looking forward to the mystery bridge wood project. Thanx!
What a sweet little cat. I wonder if his small size and odd gait were caused by malnutrition. His stance is referred to as a plantigrade stance and may have to do with his calcaneal tendon. George, a rescued lion living at Kevin Richardson's wild animal sanctuary has this issue, because of malnutrition a cub. Kevin has talked about it on his channel The Lion Whisperer TV, if you're interested. I love your wildflower plan!
Love your channel, you girls are amazing! That rose was fabulous!!
Crockpot with baking soda. Or just boiling water with baking soda in a pot that you don’t use for cooking!!!
So nice to have great neighbors!! Your flowers are lovely and the field should be next year!
so exciting to see blooming what u plantedlast fall! beautiful!
YIKES!! No gloves or eye protection 😢😥
Wow! Love the curtain rod!
Such beautiful poppies
The cat appears to have had an injury to his rear hips by the way he is walking. maybe hit by a car? Lovely cat BTW. Possibly adding a cat door into an isolated mud room or such might get him used to you easier, especially in the cold weather.
Yes I thought he looked injured too
Lovely video
your home is a continual work in process. You are both up for whatever the challenges present themselves, great job, Ladies!!! Tee
I believe I enjoy watching 👀 you two ladies more than any other channel that I'm subscribed to. You help me cope with my week ends. Thank you for posting regularly. Speed up the video of the tractor 🚜 was a stellar idea.
It's a channel, not an app
@@Miss_Toots thank you Miss Toots.
I vote for Tiddles for his name. Amazing how much work you do I can't wait to find out the next project. ❤🇬🇧🏴
Normally at the point of cutting a meadow, if the seeds have dropped, your plan is what happens. Often folks do rake off the cuttings first to reduce the nutrients as some wildflower seeds do better in low nutrient conditions. Where as others which are quiet robust, can take advantage of the nutrients left (if cuttings aren't removed).
Best of luck with your plans for a wild flower meadow.
Just in case you don't get the coverage you want, if you scrap of some of the existing grasses next time during the cut, and then spread the seeds in that patch as well as the other areas, you'll be able to see if you're seed mix does better in the areas which have been scarified or cut and raked or cut and left.
There are approximately 350 million feral cats in Australia, killing wildlife and encouraging yeti stories of Goliath black panthers in the outback. We are struggling so much. Wish you well
I really hope you are able to get the stray cat to trust you.
He shouldn't be outside when the winter starts and it's cold outside. 😢
But it took me almost a year to retain trust from a stray/feral cat.
I started with getting him fed at the same time as my other cats with the kitchen door open so he could see my cats while they were eating. After a few months, he came inside to eat together with them, the door still open, so he could run away when he got scared.
I was able to get his trust in the long time, and he became very affectionate.
The poor thing just had met the wrong people in his early life. But he lived here, indoors, many happy years.
Hopefully, this cute cat will also learn to trust people again. ❤
Hi, there's some EVP being spoken if you listen at 0.25x video speed. Hard to understand, but I hear from 12:10 'I protect the wallpaper from falling down', and 12:14 'paper.. gentlemen..' a male voice responding to Alex noticing the beautiful hand-printed original wallpaper. Also I hear 12:20 'Connotations', and loudly 12:21 'Care!'.
Water is an excellent vehicle for spirit energy. The ghost is probably causing the camera to flutter a bit there. But again it seems like a friendly spirit ancestor, glad that you're caring for the house.

That beautiful antique curtain rod would have cost 81.27 Canadian.
When you speed things up I feel exhausted…. Mind you I feel exhausted after watching just one of your videos! When Gail was stacking the pen pieces on the trolley, I wanted to pop into the garage and get the bungee cords to tie the load down. Very useful bungee cords, just 2-3 make a big difference. I’m not sure I would call a feral Tomcat who was so brazen in his marking “cute”, but you are doing really well with him. He was listening.. contrary beast. Will probably listen harder as the weather gets colder!
You are definitely going for the Dark Academia look, I’m SO jealous of that curtain pole. I paid $150 for a white painted teak one then $45 more for wooden rings. You got a beautiful bargain. Perfect.❤❤❤
For the cat, may I suggest using a specific bowl or plate (of plastic -easy to clean) and he will associate this with food, that way when he sees you and the plate, he/she will know it's food.
I love flowers,Everything looks wonderful out there.Wish I was there ,beautiful place.
I don't think "cute" is the word I'd use, if one of my cats peed on my bed. We call "cherries" pompoms 😊
Wow! That huge antique curtain rock is wonderful! Great bargain find, ladies! I'd like a birthday present like that! Love the pictures of your garden flowers: what a lovely array you have nurtured there. I'm titillated by the secret project with the big wood beams from the footbridge. I remember the video when you obtained them: at the beginning of the video you narrated the completion of the road bridge and the dismantling of the temporary foot bridge and I was calling out to you on my computer monitor--"ask for that bridge! don't let it just be thrown away! I was so happy at end of video that you salvaged it.
Lovely flowers all around you. Just adore your old house and everything that's going with it. You've almost won the confidence of the feral cat. He is a beautiful boy ❤❤
Sowing the wildflower seeds in that manner was an inspired idea - looking forward to seeing that field next spring. How the pipe cleaning worked Gail, nothing like a bit of citric acid to clean up. Good luck with the cat Alex, with your determination and doggedness you will succeed!! After all, it is already looking in at the window, eyeing out the fireplace perhaps? The project with the old bridge planks sounds very intriguing, a mystery in the making Gail.
Ooooh, I hope your new kitty comes inside (besides to pee on your bed)...thank you for enticing him or her!!! Your hard work is really paying off. What a fantasy you have going there. Lovely.
OMG!! The curtain rod (& it’s associated paraphernalia) are absolutely fabulous! Oh please don’t cut it, you’ll affect the antique value, beauty & structure!! How will you be able to screw the end finials back in?!?!? I can’t wait to see how you use it!
I take in feral cats, work with them till they are tame & then spoil them 😊 I have 9 inside & working on one who is still outside. They give me a small section of my bed to sleep 😂 even though they all have cat beds of their own. The newest one Gracie is long haired & we found out she is a he when he went to get fixed so I call him Gracie Grey now. My oldest is 17 & blind. I adore cats! I'm very thankful for only one showing up at a time now. It takes time to gain their trust. I know you will gain your kitties trust in time ❤ He is beautiful!!
I am blessed with a large house lot, an acre, and tolerant neighbors. Every spring I mow a 'pattern' in my yard which allows rows of wild growth to flower and flourish. I get beautiful strips of wild flowers and the wild creatures have cover to live. Usually in February, I take on the task of mowing it all down - I wait for then because I love the way it looks with snow. We don't get snow every year, but when we do it is beautiful. When I first moved here I tried to let it 'stay wild', but it is just too difficult to manage and in our climate - Texas - it becomes a bit of a fire hazard. Because wild creatures include snakes - which I don't love - I encourage the feral cats and the neighbor's pecking birds.
I love your curtain pole. In the 1970s my husband and I tracked down antique poles and fittings for our house in reclamation yards, china door knobs too. Lovely old rugs turned up at Jumble sales. It was such fun, furnishing our house, I don’t think we had anything new.
Poppies, sweet peas, and roses ,you can't ask for anything prettier but the wild flowers. Gorgeous and the schoos.
Give the cat some Evaporated milk with a little bit of water. My stray cats have never left.
Your sped up tractor was hilarious. Your flowers are stunning. Im trying to guess what the big project is. All i can figure for now is that its going to be an outside project. Now thats only because Alex, you said probably not this year, but then you did say maybe the winter. Throw us a few hints in your next video. Hey thanks again for sharing. Thoroughly enjoyed it as usual.😊
🙋♀️❤️. Another lovely video! So excited to see what's happening with that curtain rod!
Great video!! If only it was that easy to zip thru a field that fast lol, greatly enjoyed watching this video, I did get a giggle though when the butcher was on standby for the plummer 😂, all in all though it's important to have the pipes free of calcium or lime. ❤❤
It never ends. Thanks to good neighbours and helpful schrews.
Your flowers are beautiful.
I can’t wait to see Alex’s room once the curtain rods are installed.
You two are so innovative.
How’s your hot water now.
The flowers are just beautiful I wish I had some like the yellow one. I don't know what they are but I love them. The video is wonderful too. Best of luck with the wild flowers next year. Look forward to seeing them.
Wow that field looks huge now it’s been cut and your garden is growing beautifully with some stunning flowers. Take care and thanks for sharing 👏🙏❤️
What a great buy!! I can’t wait to see your draperies hanging from that beautiful mahogany rod and rings. What kind of metal are the brackets made of?
Watching you both play with those bags while talking gave me such a chuckle!😅
Your flowers are so beautiful, I have to admit, I am a little jelly!
Excited to find out about your secret project.
So clever to repurpose the foot bridge.
Please would you tell me the name of the pink flowers you picked. Love this channel.🌺
Everything in this video was just wonderful to watch! Thanks again ladies for making my sunday even better.
I build a huge dog kennel and put bedding inside so the stray cats that came around had some where safe and warm to sleep in. When my Rambo had been hurt he would not come into the house so Dad and I cut new lock holes for the roller door to the workshop so that it stays open just high enough for the cats, but not next doors dog, so now the cats come and go as they please, best part was they managed to rid the workshop of the rat that had tried to make the workshop its home. We also have a Blue-tongued skink(lizard) living in the workshop lol it use to live under the wood pile but a few winter back it got flooded out and so she moved into the workshop as well.
For the wild native field spreading the seeds before cutting the grass and the old growth is the best way to do it, it will bed in the seeds that the birds are not able to hunt them out, best part was it rained right afterwards which had the benefit of knitting the cut steams into a natural felted blanket in preparation for winter. Next spring is going to be amazing.
There's a misconception on what a true feral cat is. You have about 8 weeks to domesticate a cat after that there isn't anything you can do. Most feral cats do not come out during the day and do not allow humans to get anywhere near them. They will run before you can get close. If you manage to corner them they will do great bodily harm to you and themselves to get a way. You would never get close and they cannot be tamed. A wild cat is different they are cats that were handled at a young age and for the most part domesticated but for some reason they were dumped or separated from their owners and have lived on their own long enough to be mistrustful of humans. They are skittish but can with time and patience be re domesticated and trusting. So your visitor would be considered wild or a stray but not feral. 🥰
There was a very wild feral cat in our area. He could be 25m away but run at the sight of a human...it took months but he comes to my back door three times a day for a pet and food. He will come if I call his name...kitty😂. He would move inside but the two inside cats do not want him in their space.
I hope that wood is to make an animal pen or shelter of some sort. Cause that field you planted those wild flowers in would be beautiful with some all live stock like goats or sheep in!!!! I can totally see you ladies with some sweet little goats ther to take care of!!!!!!!
Another great birthday present. I remember the chest of coins. You are a lucky girl. My mom was like yours and got me antiques for my birthday. I miss her
Stock cars . Except with the tractor . Looking forward till next spring 🤩❤
Hi ladies, see if you have any local cat rescues nearby that would lend you a trap for kitty. I’ve had success with this before. He’s beautiful 🤩
Have you considered an "Intern" who could stay in your home and help you with projects for a month or two? I think there would be some young folks who would love to do that.
Ladies if you need to cut that rod you can drill and rethread it.Someone makes the wood tap for it. It’s the same thread as like a screw in broom handle. I am sure you can google it or a local machine shop could give you some advice.
I'll try again...craftroom? Did you just give up on it?
Lupin is known to choke out native wild flowers. I hope this doesn’t happen to your field.
That was a nice video, the flowers you cut were so lovely.. You guys work so hard, we learn such a lot from you both. Xxx
Can you mix a dewormer with the food…his back legs look arthritic in movement
I would like to know why all tiger cats have M on their foreheads? Male cats when they’re older and they have their cherries removed they still mark their territory.
Hopefully your wild flowers will attract lots of bees so dare I suggest having a couple of hives.
Looks like Peter should be a NASCAR driver😆😆. Love the speeded up version.
Your sweet peas are lovely and straight, mine always seem to grow wonky, but oh the fragrance. 😅
Vinegar removes lime scale from my kettle. I don’t know if it would work in your system though.
What beautiful light there is where you live, the pretty greens, very vivid 😊
Gail what are the plans for the schwoo ‘gate panels’? Are there plans for more baby schwoos?
Your views are lovely but you seem very isolated. How far away is your nearest neighbor? Thanks for the video.
