GodlyShotz I mean it kinda it sad, think about it, let’s say your sitting in bed, watching some TH-cam, your having a amazing time, and then, all of a sudden, your at your fathers funeral, it’s something that really COULD happen if you have Alzheimer’s, you gotta admit, makes you feel grateful for what you have in life

I’ve been in the hospital non stop the past 2 years since I’ve been diagnosed and I have to take a lot of medication. Everyone should count their blessings and be grateful for what they have. The thing is I’m not even 16 yet
My mother has Alzheimer’s, she never remembers who I am but rarely she does. Sometimes she calls me by my fathers name and it’s really comforting to her so I act like a loved one, she never remembers much so this video is understandable
My grandmother has Alzheimer's She almost never realizes who I am even though she practically raised me. Of course it hurts when she doesn't or when she complains of her life. She usually says "You're a brat. Can't do anything right." She even tried to hurt herself, thinking she was ugly. However, I know that when she dies, she won't be in pain. I hope you realize, that even though your mother might not remember you, you still have those beautiful memories of before this period of time. She won't always be there for you, but she's your mother. She would want you to be happy. I might not know her, but thats just how maternal instincts are. If you need someone to talk to, Im right here.
My grandfather had Alzheimer’s and I never got to talk to him because he entered the stage of it where he couldn’t take care of himself and he couldn’t even speak to me and my family and he sadly passed away without me getting to know him.But from my mother, my father, and my cousins, he was known as a very kind man.
My great grandmother passed in the spring time of alzheimers looking at this made me think of her so much and I'm glad he brought light to it cause it is hard and I'm sorry for your loss
My mother Sara Alexander had alzheimers... from 2008 to 2016. She finally lost her battle 2 weeks before Christmas. I took care of her for 6 years before it was more than I could handle. I was her only child. So when it got to the point she could not remember me or my oldest child (I have 2 children) I was devastated. But I continued to take care of her and love her. She was a amazing person and when she walked into a room she lit it up. This game kinda gives me a understanding what her last years where like. I know she is in a better place. But i miss her so much.... RIP SARA🌺

Its really sad to know that we'll all get old and die someday leaving behind our memories But we cant say life is unfair as we're all being given a chance to cherish our good youthful moments.
The fact that the music disappears in some of the parts are horrifying, our main character is trying so hard to keep those memories (the dinner table and the Inge conversation) but they lost all of those memories in the end.
My grandma doesn’t have Alzheimer’s but she does have dementia. I don’t remember when kind of dementia she was diagnosed with but this was a hard watch. I know I’m very late to this vid. My grandma has gotten very bad over this year. She wasn’t very bad last year. My grandparents are in a home now and my dad (her son) has been talking about memory care. It hurts watching their health deteriorate and I have major respect for anyone else who has gone/has to go through this.
@@Pibbs_ur_short_girl1it’s technically not, Alzheimer’s refers to a specific type of dementia and Dementia is an overarching term for a range of symptoms
This was deep. My aunt had Alzheimer’s and the last moments with her she was screaming for help because she didn’t know who anyone was. Just a bunch of strangers to her. 😣
That is heartbreaking... I don't have anyone in my family currently with Alzheimer's but.. my old neighbor did. She used to bake stuff for my dad and I all the time..the last time I saw her it had gotten pretty bad but some things still remained. She didn't remember my name or anything about me specifically, but she knew that my dad and I were important to her somehow..it was tough to see her like that. I think she's since passed away but. A game like this really helps put things in perspective
In all honesty, just started really watching Cory videos, and this one really hit home. Taught me to be grateful for everything. Youth. Memories. My family..all of it. Thank you for doing this video..every moment is a gem

My grandma has Alzheimer’s. Because of quarantine, her conditions worsened as it went unchecked before. She absolutely adored me and since we live across the sea, she’d always ask when the family’s coming back to see her. Present day she barely remembers anyone. I feel really sad about it still but it’s js how it is.
Alzheimer's is so terrible. My uncle had and pretty didn't recognize me before he passed. Suffering through so much, I guess you can say that dying was what was best just because he didn't have to suffer any more. 😣😖
I myself don't have Alzheimer's, but my grandma did.. from my point of view, this is probably very accurate. It started slow with my grandma doing silly things like hiding our shoes in a tree, but it started getting noticeable by the time I was 12. She was a women's rights activist waaaayyyy back, she ran for governor of her town, she was a good journalist, she was a loyal and great wife for my grandma when he served in WW2, and she was always the liberal other half to my grandpa's strong conservative political stances. But my grandparents were so great together, man. We went on family vacations every year with them. And even when my grandma started forgetting her grandkids' names... Then her kids' names... Then her husband's name... Then her own name... My grandpa was always the best spouse he could be for her, and he made sure she had a good life even after she couldn't speak English and couldn't control her bodily waste functions. Alzheimer's is a terrifying disease because it just tears away your past from you, then your present, then your future. But I'm glad my grandma had a hell of a good spouse to go through it.
When he said, “I love you all. Thank you for giving me a good life.” broke my heart. 😭💔 Edit: Even though it’s just a video game, it represents life, and it made me feel like he knew someone very close to him who said something like that, who passed away.
My grandma had Alzheimer's and she was 79 at the time and when we would visit her at the nursing home she would be very confused and would try to remember who we were and I was always trying not to cry...wriring this made me cry and this video helps me understand what my grandma went through
Same Mine has it now and its hard to see or talk to them after this many years of just knowing her and her knowing me to just her just forgetting is hard but after a while we know they didn't want this and those memories of them before we have to hold of to tightly
I was crying at the end, my grandma also had it and it was very hard for me and my mom to take care of her but i guess it was much more hard for my grandma
This game really tells you the meaning of life. You need to cherish it before you can’t. This is a very heart warming game. Even tho it is sad it explains what can goes on through someone’s life. Corey I am glad you took a break from a scary game to teach us on what goes on in some peoples life on a daily basis. And seeing the pictures really made this game real for everyone.❤
my great grandmother, mamaw nelly. She had altheimers and she recently passed last year. It scared me, like I was in a horror movie. That morning I was going to school and While me and my mom were making our way to school, my grandmother came on the phone crying and screaming that her mother or my great grandmother, was barely clinging on to life. My mom began to cry, but I went to school before I heard anything else. All I know a week later, we were at a funeral, an open casket funeral. This was my first time really seeing a dead body. God bless who ever has or knows someone with alzheimer's . I love you Cory and this video really made me think of my grandmother and this horrific story.
This game made me cry I always wanted to be older and a grown up but now I’m realizing being young and still being able to dance and run, put on makeup and play videos games, being able to shower and eat on my own, get out of bed every morning is a blessing. I will see the world differently now and enjoy my teenage years. Thank you Cory
I feel the pain of the person you play as in the game.... My great grandma who I'm very, very, Very close to has Alzheimer's and so I almost cried at the end of the game....
SectetsOfThePhoenix H2O my great grandmother recently died and she had Alzheimer’s. It hurts she slowly forgot us but she still would always sing to us. She song to us and let us hug her. As soon as we all hugged and loved on her she died. Like she at least waited to see all of us. Life is short. Love and appreciate everyone. Their may come a time you won’t be able to.
Same..i pray for your family, I know it's hard ;-; my grandfather had to go through the same thing, I miss him, to see him as a shell of the person he used to be it brought back some bad memories, WHY DOES A DISEASE HAVE TO EXSIST TO TAKE PEOPLE AWAY, to hurt the family closet, when I saw him, he didn't know us, he wasn't the same, but we still loved him till the last breath,.,Spend every moment you can with her cherish it, please..,
This is one of my worst fears and I'm always scared about just the thought of something like this happening to me or any of my family members. It would break my heart into pieces if I was the only one keeping the memories. It makes me feel like they'd be a shell of the person they were before.
I’ve done some research on Alzheimer’s and from what I’ve seen, in one blink, you could miss a full day and not even be conscious of everything your doing. It truly is sad, and worse, you can’t cure Alzheimer’s, it cures it self, In most cases, after it’s too late. Shout out to the team that made this game, and Cory for looking at this with a serious outlook.
Yeah you should. I used to be a spoiled kid in the past, but now I already understand that you need to be grateful for everything you have. There are some people that have missing body parts and are still happy. So remember, whatever happens, always be happy
Wow, I can’t believe the amazing supporting people that commented to this. I hate those people who think there so cool putting you down and saying how a cry baby you are, but your not. Thanks to all the amazing people out there
Em Pask not only that but how it feels to have that condition to forget things, then slowly as you get older and older you’ll start to worsen by being blind and deaf. This game shows you how it feels to get something like that. I do agree with you, family is super frickin important! Losing a loved one that’s been with you since the beginning is just terrible 😔
I’m literally in tears right now man. I cant imagine this happening to my mom or anyone in my life. I literally dont know how i could handle it, thank you. love always
This reminds me of my nana..who died last year in November....by cancer. She couldn't have any children....so my mom blessed her with us....we visited her..me and my brothers. We loved her so much..now she's gone.....I never got to say goodbye...
I’m a preteen. My Nana has Alzheimer’s followed after my Pawpaw after he died and I help raise her. I’m around 10-13, not saying which age cause it’s the internet. I do have a deep fear of her forgetting my name since I know it is bound to happen and there is obviously no cure. Please spend your time with your loved ones easily and the most you can. ❤
This is so sad. There’s so many elderly who go through this struggle. The only precious thing they have is their life and the memories. And as soon as we’re old, we don’t have that time anymore. It’s like it never happened. For those who lost a grandparent and/or relative to this, I’m really sorry for your loss and I hope you’re doing well. I’m definitely planning on sharing this video and the game with everyone. 😔

I’m watching this now in 2024 and I’m finally able to understand what my Nana is going through. This play through genuinely brought me to tears as I was one of the family members who watched my Nana go through the early stages of dementia. I was too young to understand what was happening and why Nana couldn’t remember my name, that was up until she had to be put in a nursing home, now she doesn’t recognise anyone, even my mom who is her daughter. It genuinely breaks my heart every time we visit her and see how confused she is. I hope anyone else who feels this way can relate, your not alone. 💜
Yeah it’s awful... my grandma on my mom’s side and my grandma and grandpa on my father’s side all have Alzheimer’s. It’s very sad, I remember when my grandma forgot who I was.
When I was 3 I used to have a grandpa who I loved hanging out with. We always were laughing and having fun, but he was getting old and of course every body passes away, but in a young age, it was difficult for me to feel sympathy for someone I can't remember. My parents always tell me that he was like a best friend to me, but I forgot. The only thing I have left of him is a picture of him. I just wanted to say that, it was difficult for me to figure out who he was and what he was to me, it's hard to realize that the person that makes who you are today, is a person that you thought never existed. Well, for my point of view.
yeah man. my dad died and i have only a couple of memories because i wad so young but im holding onto them for as long as i last. i can relate, today i just took some time to think and i remembered a forgotten memory
This video really got me in the feels, I don't know anyone who has Alzheimer's, but the thought of forgetting those who are most important to me is just frightening.
i have a good memory, but i know the pain of being forgotten by someone that you love. See, a couple years back my girlfriend hit her head pretty bad without me even knowing. it was only later i found out that she had forgotten everything about us. it tore me up. the biggest problem was that shortly after she started dating someone else because she forgot that we were together. i honestly thought i had hit rock bottom. to be honest i still do. i had loved her with all my heart and it felt unfair that my happiness got taken away because of memory loss. now, i only want the best for her so i don't try to upset her with it, but i can only imagine that pushing it will only upset her because i'm sure being the one who forgets also hurts a lot.
Thats litterally so sad man. I'm so sorry for you. I never comment on videos but this video was powerful and reading your comment made me realize something. Dude i pray the best for you

Damn bro I like joking a lot but if my aunt ever has Alzheimer’s it would suck for me
My grandmother has Alzheimer's She almost never realizes who I am even though she practically raised me.
Go have the best time with her before she dies spend as much time as you can with her
My brother died :( when I was 6 😞

My grandfather had Alzheimer’s and I never got to talk to him because he entered the stage of it where he couldn’t take care of himself and he couldn’t even speak to me and my family and he sadly passed away without me getting to know him.But from my mother, my father, and my cousins, he was known as a very kind man.

Cory’s whole speech about how we take so much for granted and that we need to be thankful for our health almost made me cry. This man is a legend.
RIP SARA🌺

But we cant say life is unfair as we're all being given a chance to cherish our good youthful moments.
Yeah what u said mad me sad like verry sad

true man, makes me sad reading this.
Your uncles in a better place now
I myself don't have Alzheimer's, but my grandma did.. from my point of view, this is probably very accurate.

Well, for my point of view.

i have a good memory, but i know the pain of being forgotten by someone that you love.
