I am all for Police service but not this kind ...May 2024 Be very careful of several Calif State Park Rangers-Cop...Ranger K and Ranger B. E They love writing tickets for any reason because it means $$$$$ and more than double if you don't want to go to court they cover Oceano to Hearst Castle ...all I did was drive into the Morro Bay campground looking for a spot the Ranger B. E was cruising and watched me drive in the campground is open 24 hours just find a spot and pay at the Iron Ranger when booth is closed. He pulled up on me while I was driving so I pulled over he took my license and ran it for 15 mins then came back and handed me a ticket for non payment of camping fee for $93 Bucks..Camp fee is 35...If I don't go to the 4 month off court date watch their online video and call them for date it's $235 bucks.....so If your back home and don't want to come back because some idiot felt like writing a ticket for no reason it's 235 bucks at least....Ranger K and B.E need to be flying a non ticket writing desk in a back office in Bakersfield...
I've spent time boondocking in the San Simeon area, as the campgrounds are too expensive, I know exactly what officers you are referring to........... They had little care for my complaints about a Hearst Castle employee that blasts his horn at me specifically each morning.... Not at the other RVs, just me. And those cops refused to respect my request for justice.
Compared to a lot of the other options in the area, it was one of the most affordable ones we could find. Of course there are cheaper destinations to camp.
Nice video! The driftwood structures were cool. Enjoy the West coast! Cheers!
Loved the driftwood pieces. A great place to explore.
Beautiful areas! We call those wood installations on the beach “groots”. Sitting in or beside them blocks the win and keeps you so much warmer!
Do they have the opposite effect in the summer to keep you cooler?
@@HomeARoam Not sure! We've only ever used them on cooler days.
I mean, shade is shade. And I wouldn't assume it's going to be warm on the coast in summer, though I am usually farther north!
If you get the chance I would reccomend Cape look out state park in Tillamook, one of my favorite beaches I been to in USA. Cheers
Thanks for the tip! We've been to Tillamook in the past, but not for camping so we will put this one on our list to check out.
No hook ups in the Creek campground as well. Just dry camping.
Thanks for updating us on this!

That's a pain. Sorry to hear you had that bad experience.

Great price!
Yeah it was a deal for sure!
I kept looking to see if my rv was in the background, I spend a lot of time in that area. Far from affordable...
