    Scrubbing is just something that happens naturally. As you get faster and push harder you’ll kinda start carving off the lip and shoving the bars down more and more. Or at least that’s how it happened for me

  • @Yoseype
    @Yoseype 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey Derek! Really great content, I'm a newer rider and have a yz125. To jump a 2 stroke are you supposed to get a ton of speed up to the jump and then turn the throttle off once you get to the face? Or do you still have the throttle on a tiny bit when you're going off the face of the jump? Whenever I jump my nose always sky rockets up and I'm trying to figure out how to not do that lol... Thanks!

    • @DerekHallman
      @DerekHallman 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Joseph thanks for checking out the video! A good rule of thumb is to keep the bike at a consistent throttle level. That can be a smooth constant acceleration on the throttle all the way off the jump, or that can be a consistent zero throttle off the face of the jump. Try to never blip the throttle while going off a jump. In addition, always remember to squeeze with your legs and use good attack position body form so your weight is centered with the bike as it goes into the air. I'm not an expert rider - these are things I've learned from watching pro riders tutorials on TH-cam and what seems to work best for me. Happy riding and stay safe dude!

    • @DerekHallman
      @DerekHallman 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I've gained SO much more speed, bike control, and good body form on the KTM 150 in just a few months compared to an entire year on the KX250F. The 2 stroke has trained me to be a way better rider than the KX ever did and when I hop back on a 250f I'll be faster.
