Great video! I need to replace a torn boot on mine. I'm assuming that the easiest way to do it is to remove the axle.

Your lucky, we have a snap on slide hammer and 3 guys trying to get the axle out. It's rusted on the inside. Might just change the boot on the atv

Hmm, lucky you, the axles i tried to remove didn’t come out of the differential using a chain, a truck, and a telephone pole. I did however manage to pull the axle apart.

What I have found is on these “dry fit” cv axels that get rusted up in there is to put some pressure on it as you describe here. But before you snatch and yank too hard and separate the cv axel, smack the side of the cv axel on the big black part and a lot of times you’ll eventually get it to move like that. Once you get it moving, you’re good to start spraying the crap out of lube to try to work it down in there. Then once you have one of these rubicon axels out, you can use a punch to punch out the other one easy if you need to change both. But, it’s always a good idea to punch it out anyways and sling some anti sneeze on both sides before reinstall.
