Hi guys, i just went to a precision match shooting practice meet, now i have not shot a weapon since my Cadet days with the L1A1 SLr rifle at 400 yards with a score of 98 and got my snipers patch, i got invited to a practice shot in regional victoria and i did not expect the type of riles thee all custom made barrels 308 with 215 to 220 grain bullets or projectile, but i scored a 38 at 1,200 yards, when considering i have not shot a weapon in over 35 years, now i am hooked and might take up the disiplin and challenge, now the other guys scored from 40 to 50 on the day, but we had 36 degree day and cross wind of around 25KM to gusts of 35 KM winds from the north west. So looking at going to the next meet in the first week of FEB 2019. :) Now that i know what to look for and expect i hope the weather is better and maybe get a better score as well, also would like to thank all the people at the stawell rifle range and the warrnambool rile clubs for the opportunity to try out their precision custom made 308 rifles, which were just out of this world, Anodised aluminium Handle and stock, custom trigger, custom stainless steel barrels with a 1 in 8 twist and a prefect single shot long range rifle, when you consider the stock 308 rounds at off the shelf are 168 grains and max range to around 800 yards ?

@@ImpactDynamics I cant wait really, but also need to study more, as things have changed so much over the years and i really did not expect those types of weapons at all, i have been invited to a different military rifle match shooting day this saturday, but i cant make it, but will be going to the FEB shoot for sure and this time, i know what to expect. :) Thank you very much for your support as well. cheers:)

@@ImpactDynamics Well shoot match rifle at 1,100 yards scored a 46 / 10 rounds and could not be happier, but also got some more contacts to help me get started and they said to start with a 6mm creedmoor howa 1500 a a start and shooting off the shelf hornady 108 grain Match rounds and just need to start basic and lost costings items, then build up to better and better items as i can afford them, so benchrest shooting basically in the F open class, due to my disability and try to get the front bi bod adjustable and also a sandbag mono pod for the rear and get the weapon system check out by long range precision shooting gunsmiths to make sure the rifle barrel and action is trued up and maybe if i can buy a good quality scope and so far i was really impressed with what i have seen. thanks again for your support. :)

@@ImpactDynamics Hot a score of 46 out of 50 and with a match rifle as well, now i know why i shot so bad, the reticle on the other F class open rifle was set for the other guys eye relief and also the reticle was very very hard to see, + i was not the person doing the adjusting as well, but yesterday again had a mil type receptacle and so clear it was as if i was 20 ft away from the target and shooting at 1,000, 1,100 and then at 1,200 yards, scores were 45, 48, and 68 with 15 shots at the 1,200 yards, but the problem is that its a expensive sport meaning that if you were to join as a competitor, just buying a 308 set up new is around the 5K mark, not including all the equipment to do re loads and cleaning and storing travel and so on, they are going to England in JUNE 2019 at besley, so these guys know there stuff, but in saying this i would like to start low and learn as much as possible so that i know what is required as match rifle or FTR open, which would be better for me only due to me being disabled and would require a bench set up to shoot, which again would require to get a foldable bench portable but sturdy and light, so might need to make a aluminum bench which folds up and has a foldable chair and is adjustable block of wood with little rubber adjustable feet on it. :)
