I'm going to help a friend who's gone from asthma to emphysema since her last award. She has a lifetime award, but not high mobility. She wrote and told them of a change in circumstances, and they refused to up it. I believe it's a situation that requires actual face to face, as just looking at her one could see how poorly she has become. Thank you, I'll use your advice. ❤

I now know this is fixed I had a paper assessment no call no nothing . AV actually lost points in other areas I was originally awarded . I scored 10 this time but will fight for those other points as my condition has worsened. You're right don't read the bullshit they write how you're awarded . They made the decision the next day . Today i received it . How quick was that 😮. So doubt he even read throught it .

Charlie, do you know why assessors ask questions unrelated to the assessment questionnaire. Questions such as my education, how I put away my food delivery, is my driving license/ DVLA has record of my health conditions. I actually ended up having a bad anxiety attack assessor really upset me, and couldn’t carry on with assessment. It’s in my form I have difficulties having conversations and talking to people.
I just got 0 points and have had depression and anxiety recovering drug addiction and medically disabled. I don't know what to do I'm at the end of my tether. I feel like there trying to push me back to drugs after 20 years. I have to take diazpam and suboxon everyday my heads drained. Any advice

Hi Gary,I’d strongly suggest you don’t inform pip of any new conditions,I was currently on pip for a shattered shoulder,on just stranded rate,was recently diagnosed with emphysema and cold,I was told too inform pip of these new illnesses by my copd clinic,I did this and my claim was stopped a week later even thou my shoulder award was awarded till 2026,I’m currently doing a mandatory appeal,so all for doing what I was told too do my claim was closed down,just thought I’d share my experience,good luck.

Autistic and going through steroid injections for various mobility issues
Hi Charlie. I've looked through my son's PIP points. I think they have given too many points for communicating needs. He has 8 points for this. He doesn't have help from someone who is trained or Experienced in helping with communicating & I have never said he needs this help. Hi Charlie just letting you know that I got my pip letter back today I didn't get it to get the standard rate I was rated only 6 points yet they mentioned about they scored me zero points for medication yet I don't get my medications myself my mom picks them up for me from the chemist and my mom puts them in my pill reminder pot as in the past I've taken a overdose threw having the medications at hand. I've just went through a Mandatory consideration, they kept me at the same payment, I have arthritis, Fibromyalgia and other illnesses, I lost my appeal, I have been on spp for 6 months, I don't know how these people still got there jobs, there liars.
same with me, apparently even though i’m diagnosed anorexic with a bmi of 15 they wrote im a healthy bmi, work that one out 🤦 im fuming that they think someone with my mental health condition is a healthy weight, this has really set me back and now any appetite I had is completely diminished 😢
SHAME ON MP > my local MP has told the DWP to stop my disability money out of spite because I protested against him recently , hasten to say my only ever protest and it was a silent one with just a sign , was protesting that he had refused to raise concerns about a judge who was not only potentially racist but exhibited some of thee worst disability discrimination , this has been noted by Scope as the worst discrimination by the judiciary that they have ever come across , the JCIO completely protected this judge when I complained . Wondering if what this MP has done can be seen as a hate crime .

Regarding eating, I can eat however I need to be watched as I sometimes have problems swallowing and choke, how would you put that point across?

If you appeal always always get proof, copy or photograph everything so you know what you've written. Get proof of postage.
