I would really love to see video, if you can, of the Obsidian 9 running on your G19, a Scorpion pistol (or equivalent if you have one), and a 300BLK pistol (you're going to need the adapter for that, obviously, 5/8x24 I think). I'm trying to plan my first can and I'm really wanting it for my 300BLK pistol, but I want to run it on my Scorpion EVO sometimes, maybe my G19. I can't find video anywhere of someone shooting the Obsidian 9 with 9mm and 300BLK in the same environment. I just want to hear that it's actually worth it on 300BLK.
Im waiting on my approval to get my obsidian 9 and still have a long way to go. I just purchased it a couple weeks ago. I appreciate the insight on it, im trying to learn as much as possible being a first time owner of a suppressor. I wanted to try ro hurry up and get my name on the waiting list before all this junk goes down that the government is trying to pull. From the research I did the obsidian 9 seems very solid and im excited to get my hands on it.
Update: still waiting on mine. 236 damn days and not one word other than researching still. How has that rugged can been for you over the past 8 months? I'm so sick of waiting
Finally approved as of 6 am today. Should be able to pick it up this afternoon. 263 days wait on a form 4 trust for anyone thinking about filing right now.
Got a question maybe you can answer. I just got my obsidian 9 finally. I planned to use it on my pistol and my pcc so I bought a fixed barrel spacer because I thought I only needed to swap the spring with the barrel spacer when going back and forth. But now I just heard about a fixed mount…. Do I also need a fixed mount as well as the spacer?
Ok cool. Yea if you look at the site they have instructions on it that’s slightly confusing. But it looks like you use either the fixed mount or the spacer, not both. I planned on using the spacer on mine, just swapping it with the spring, and then attaching it to my Akv and going. So hopefully that works, but it sounds like it will. Thanks man.
how often do you check to make sure its tight on the pistol? been debating the 9 vs 45 can but im going 9mm as most of what im shooting out of will be 9. You can also get a fixed mount adaptor and you dont need to run the piston and fixed barrel spacer.
Does your wiggle back and forth after being tightened as well? Have only shot mine once and don’t know if that’s normal or not. Can’t find any info on it anywhere.

@@Classic_Noob4111 tri lug all the way. When I called rugged, the booster is meant for .22 cals. So I removed them and run tri lug and fixed mounts only

I heard Rugged is a very good company and backs their products. I plan to get a Dead Air Nomad 30 and a Dead Air Sierra 5 as a dedicated 5.56 can.

I don’t run a fixed mount nor heard or one. I just switch back n forth of the spring or spacer depending on what I am mounting it on

Yeah I have a spacer with it in my scorpion and noticed it.

Yes it will takes years for turn around for any NFA items once most people with ar/ak pistols start the process for their SBR
