  • Christina and Tim entered their marriage like many others declaring that divorce would never be an option. Years later, a secret life, communication issues, and a desire to avoid conflict led to problems arising in their marriage.
It seemed as if there was no hope for a future together until Christina’s relative shared the miracle God did in her own marriage. This episode will be a wonderful reminder of God’s mercy in each of our lives.

Why do you think it's been so long?

Probably because of not being consistent enough in certain areas of my life amid all the attacks on me physically. I know we are called to bring restoration to marriages and our marriage was attacked even before our honeymoon…I know it’s not God’s fault.

I can’t even tell you how this testimony has blessed me. My story is SO VERY SIMILAR. Some of it word for word. God is just so good. We are not restored yet but I know God is working and I’m still standing!!

“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
Don’t forget to first seek the kingdom of God. Jesus said this himself. It means that we are each responsible for working out our earthly lives individually in a way that prepares us for eternal life living in the presence of God, which is to come. When we seek God, we change. We become more and more converted by aligning ourselves to his will. Jesus said in the same sentence that if we seek God first, then all else that is needful, righteous and beautiful will added to us. This includes the happiness, fulfillment and joy that can potentially be ours through marriage.

Why do women always lead with their flaws before the divulging of their husband’s unfaithfulness as if there was ANYTHING a wife could do to even slightly justify it? We need to STOP that. And maybe justify isn’t the correct word, but it’s like, well, ya know I had these flaws…. And he cheated. No. No no no no no. Stop it. He cheated. The end. Yeah we have flaws, and need to constantly plow our hearts, but adultery is NOT a result of the wife’s flaws. That’s how they justify it too, so let’s all just stop that.

Because that is what humility is. When we have humility, we are able to see our own flaws as well as to be able to put aside the flaws of others knowing we have so many ourselves. The Lord uses events like these in our lives to us to be able to help us see ourselves and those flaws. It's a beautiful thing because it opens the door for us to be more like Christ. God bless.

@@margekeler3112 no, flaws are not the same as committing adultery. We should all be humble and forthright with our flaws, but they IN NO WAY relate to a person committing adultery!!!!
