Here's how to deal with no graduations...... After the crisis is over and it's finally safe again let these kids that's worked so hard have their proms and cap and gown ceremonies. There's no reason why it can't be done. Too expensive to have it indoors? Outdoors on a nice day will work. Costs too much? I bet plenty of parents would be happy to chip in. No clean up crew afterwards? Again I'll bet parents would come through. Or even the kids would help. These kids don't deserve to have the happiest day of their lives so far yanked away from them. It can be done. Just do it. Our kids have earned it !!!!!!!

Thanks for making this!❤️ I’m so happy to hear an adult sympathizing with us. So many people have judged the class of 2020 by saying we are selfish and that there are more important things to worry about. Of course I understand what they’re saying, people’s lives are much more important than my prom and graduation ceremony. It’s just extremely disappointing and I think I’m allowed to be upset. I have worked so hard these past four years. The end of senior year was supposed to celebrate that. But my friends and I are already planning our own graduation celebration and prom once everything (hopefully) calms down.

This is the graduation class I have faith in!!! People born in 90's and 2000 have so far been obnoxious, entitled and (a)social media addicts. These graduates are, I hope, the ones that will seek family and camaraderie, will be humble and anti fragile. They will value face to face conversations, hugs, support their troubled community, the rebuilders and the shoulder for their scared seniors. Let Corona not be your enemy but your mentor. May the force be with you and if you feel down just buy one cold Corona beer, get back on your feet and say this moment shall also pass so let's take those lemons and make lemonade. 💪

I feel rob, hurt, broken, and like my class is trying to be forgotten. Granted I know broken may not fit as many as a week before all this started my best friend of 12 years left me as I was too depressing but I'm not worried about that part right now. I want you to know no matter who is reading this that it is going to be ok, I know it is hard as f right now but we as a whole will make it together. *hugs* it's going to be ok.

The "norms" is to work over 8 hours a day, feeling guilty for taking a break, working day by day is considered lazy, meeting requirements is not exceptional.
Its starting to feel like corporate doesn't include health. Im not sure if its just me, but it seems like my generation is just constantly overwhelmed.

Honestly, since we're missing our grad ceremony we should do one next year on the "anniversary" of our graduation. Or all the 2020 grads should schedule one day where we all graduate together. That way we can celebrate the end of COVID-19 (hopefully) and still get to see our classmates again. At the same time, it's also a chance to not feel pressured to go to grad if you dont like your class. Though also at the same, it would be hard to schedule a ceremony because people's lives will be a lot busier by then. Idk

I recently "graduated" college in May and it's still been hard coping with the new changes. I'm trying so hard to cry about all of my efforts being for nothing, but I just feel empty. I grew up with autism and depression, my mother had suicidal tendencies, my parents divorced, I got a new mother, she threw me and my dad out on the street, I even had a temporary psychotic break in middle school. I had to go through all of this while I was also having to deal with all of the useless obstacles of school. I went to school and no one talked to me, I went to special ed school for the first half of my high school career, where I was learning multiplication, and then I went back to mainstream school where I was expected to know calculus. I went through so much, and all for a pat on the goddamn back. Tomorrow, I'll get on the computer, do my English test, and then that's it. 18 years of struggle, of loneliness, of unimaginable stress, of growth. And that's where it ends. Not on a big stage with everyone I love cheering me on.
    Just me.
    In my room.
    Sitting at my desk.
    No cheering.
    No orchestra.
    Just me.
    In my room.
    Alone....

Here in egypt in last year collage they want us so badly to do the usual exams at 1/7 and we don’t know how they are thinking .. but the younger ones had researches instead for exams except for us .. & really there is no motivation at all to start studying in these circumstancec and they don’t listen to us at all ..they want it so badly🤦🏻
As if the younger ones will catch the disease but we are anti virus🤦🏻..
It is really disappointing here in egypt .. the exams is much more important than our health for them.. we “ the seniores “ were the most year deserves something instead of exams because we were waiting for so much time to be free .. but i know that god will solve it 🤎💔
We don’t know how we gonna go for exams with these huge numbers of corona cases recorded every day .. also the coming is much worse than nowadays

Good thing in Israel we have 3 years of mandatory military service. Although I would prefer going to college directly after school, it does give one time to stop our life race

Social interaction is overrated. I'm in my final year of university and honestly I love this! It's such an exciting and entertaining time. Not to mention I won't need to worry about any useless social obligations like going to convocation.

when you have an entire immediate and extended family full of ego and narcissistic driven people whose only purpose in life is to secure a marriage and high paying job that is societally acceptable, it's hard to tell yourself that life and career is about "failing and learning from failure over & over again." Not a very appealing psychological healing technique to remind yourself of and work on when everyone around you is saying that all that matters in life is money. I wish that things will get better for anyone reading that can relate...
