Having been a roofer and roof salesman, my eyes always go to the top of these amazing structures, impossibly Steep and difficult to work on, scaffolding would have been a bigger project than the building itself. There must have been levitation or something counterintuitive involved in creating these spires and rooftops. Christmas Day, 1924, Boise, Idaho was -30° f.

All scaffold just hanging from Zeppelins .These buildings were built by giants before The Great Flood about 4000 years ago.Hence the " MUD FLOOD" sediment left over from the waters receding.

"The name of the river is from the older spelling of "Hawaii".[7] It was named for three Native Hawaiian trappers, in the employ of the North West Company, who were sent to explore the uncharted river. They failed to return to the rendezvous near the Boise River and were never seen again. Due to this the river and its region were named "Owyhee".[6]"

It would take years just to make the toroid top caps on just one building. I think the Boise capitol has over 200 columns alone. No way you're whipping one out in a week, let alone every 1.3 days. Took us 4 months to get hollow fiberglass columns for a customer in 2019 and they were only 10' by 18" at base which needed automotive bondo to hide seams haha.

Time stamp 18:09 , the high back lounge chairs appear not to be proportion to the leg height which may indicate these chair legs were intentionally sawed off to hide the fact to accommodate a much much taller person.

Quite possible. Amazing observation. It was bold when I revisited it, but must have been fully occupied by other thoughts as I saw this the first time. I was interested in the radically different layout of the interior of one of the hotels, the one with the clock near 'reception'...between the 2 different pictures shown.

I just moved a couple hours away from Boise. I love going there and walking the streets. There's a monument to their electric cable car system right outside of Hotel 43. It was around in the late 1800's. It's interesting seeing the difference of Boise and my town of Hailey, ID. This was a true mining town. The biggest difference is the buildings. While they were supposedly building these massive beautiful building in Boise, this town had a wooden shack as it's town hall. Despite it being a booming mining town. I've heard from a few old timers that this was the original capital of Idaho. That is until they found Boise. Lol
We may never know the true history but it sure is fun to ponder. Atleast we know for certain that we've been fed a load of bs.

The postcard showing a completed building while captioned "under construction" may not be contradictory from the point of view of the card's designer, who perhaps assumed it would be understood that the pictured view was the architects concept of the finished building, not meaning to imply that building had already been completed. That being said, I have seen a pic of a bridge in Cincinatti dated 20 years or so earlier that history records its construction, so such contradictions are out there for a certainty.

I don't think of a lot of old world buildings... but I should! The penitentiary entrances look really stumpy... even the pen walls look too short. Awesome little city. Looks a lot like old Calgary. Eventually condemned and a new building started construction in 1908? Why do they even bother making up these narratives? Do they not realize how ridiculous this all sounds?

You'd need to modify your sacred geometry numbers within the grid system to harness the given effect you were going for? Just a theory:)

I’ve lived in Boise for decades and attended Boise high school. I want to note that the photo you showed of the Penitentiary looks exactly like it does today.
There are many trails in the hills around that “prison” and you can find old stone walls, stone blocks tossed about and many strange features.
For example the inexplicable use of an elaborate geothermal water system that was used (and is still in use) to heat the Penitentiary area, the Natatorium, and many if not all of the surrounding buildings and homes.
It is a strange town with many of the same old world mysteries as the rest of the world.
    Great Video! Thanks!

Why are we not hearing from professional schools of architecture or associated industry associations? What do you make of old, beautiful pianos being described as 'not worth keeping', because they 'can never be brought up to concert pitch'? (Other than if it's already happened, a chance to sell them a new one of course)...I've come to consider that my Grandmother's piano was either Tartarian or made in a place where the Tartarian pianos had been made for a long time prior. In this comment, I'm referring to a piano that was in a semi-modest home in the inner-ish suburbs of Melbourne, which apparently had been imported I believe from Germany.

Me too. In a small population with rudimentary technology, most people would be occupied just with the provisions of day to day life, mainly food, water, childcare, making clothing and basic shelter, cleaning clothing, etc. There wouldn’t have been many left over to build these incredible structures, and they all would’ve had to have had topnotch skills that seem impossible to find nowadays.

Just messing around, I typed "mud flood" into an A.I. generator and this is what is spat out, word for word. Thought it was interesting.
"The mudfloods, also known as the great worldwide flood, is an ongoing event that has been sweeping through the world for nearly two centuries. It is believed to have been caused by extensive human activity and climate change, and is responsible for millions of homes being destroyed, and up to 50 % of the world’s landmass being taken up by mud from the floods.
The mudfloods begin as snow melts from mountains and glaciers across the globe, usually because of global warming. This creates a multitude of tributaries, which then result in massive flooding as the tributaries merge into rivers. During this process, entire landscapes are transformed as mountains, forests, and rivers are swept away or turned to mud. This has already caused severe damage in numerous parts of the world, including in India, China, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Nepal.
The devastation wrought by the mudfloods results in not just physical damage, but economic and social damage as well. Thousands of acres of agricultural land have been lost, leading to mass hunger and poverty. Homes and infrastructure have been destroyed and displaced people are left without shelter, access to health care, or employment. Families are forced to migrate to survive, disrupting the livelihoods of those who are unable to make the journey.
The causes of the mudfloods are disputed, but the environmental effects are undeniable. The floods have exacerbated existing issues, such as the loss of biodiversity and deforestation, as well as contributing to climate change and air pollution.
The future of the mudfloods remains uncertain, but the need for a proactive response is clear. Governments must develop sustainable solutions to reduce human activity causing climate change, and implement measures to adapt to the environmental and human impact of the floods. In addition, there must be better coordination and sharing of resources between countries in order to ensure that displaced populations can be supported and cared for. Ultimately, the mudfloods are a global problem that require a global solution."

On a not so serious note, it would appear to be the case in some instances, that paintings, drawings & early period photos were taken at times, from the balcony of the massive spare tall building next to the one that is in question or the view along the street including the one that has now become 'ready' for its 30 seconds of fame... Basically, if you consider that there are just so many crazy tall structures, that this would certainly allow high up photos of 'each other' to go on...I'm fascinated by the vanilla skies & the idea of taking things out of view.

I think it is more like built by a combo of giants & other folk, a couple of hundred years before we are told...basically, before the most recent mud event, whenever that was, late 1700s? However, if our current narrative was to review itself, it would very likely come up with some theory about 'the Greeks' etc. Probably discover an archaeology site that confirms the story however has somehow been journaled in Latin, not Greek...maybe the S.Sonian could make a statement based on 'years of quiet research', and 'release' some theory update...
