I really like the video , just the towel will be consistently wet is not damage the roots?like make them rot ? , and how long you keeping the towel on ? and people using clink film is it okay to do that?
The roots that had been in the soil until now are now on top of the soil, so they are wrapped in a towel to protect them from the sun and wind. A towel is best because you want some moisture. Anything that absorbs water is OK Also, if it is kept wet with water, the roots will come out, so it is useless. Roots do not need to grow in the rooted part

The roots that are entwined with the stones are just protected with a towel so that they don't get sunburned, and the towel is just wrapped with thread to keep it from slipping. anything that can replace it

You can expose it because there are new roots under the exposed roots.
Protect exposed roots from the sun with a towel for about half a year
