Not that it matters, but I notice there is a lot of reference to Arkham. Which is supposed to be for the most challenging behavioral criminals. I would have expected her to be released from black gate instead.
I don't think Carmin killed the girls. I do believe it was her brother, but carmin decided to sacrifice her because she talked to the reporter. Also with his daughter in Arkham that's how he controls his son's killing hence why the son turns to drugs. But Carmin did kill the mom.
