I hear you dude, I also graduated in 85 and this song and Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone) both remind me of the awesome summer I had with a girl before she returned home to Canada.
Even though many songs in the mid to late 80's had extended versions, it didn't stop me from making my own extended versions. They may not have been this good, but they kept my ears happy. Also, seeing Glass Tiger open for Journey in 1986 was pretty great.
