Zexal has better production values and 5Ds has a great story for 60% of it, but Sevens has a better character focus than Zexal and it didn't switch its plot halfway through like 5Ds had too
@@JakeBosh15 I like VRAINS too but there are some massive issues and problems: Aoi got hoed over a potential takedown with Spectre since they wanted to have her lose so Yusaku could do something even though her brother was kidnapped, the first 13 episodes are four duels that last three episodes each, Yusaku start interacting with more people until like episode 25, SOL never becomes a major threat to the story outside of Go’s experimentation, Blue Girl gets wasted, Ghost Girl’s only win is against Naoki, Miyu and Windy’s Origin don’t do anything after they’re introduced, the chess pieces don’t do much, the first half of season 2 is so slow with 2 parters for everything, Go and Aoi are hyped up to help Yusaku in the Tower of Hanoi only to get taken out in the 4 minutes/episodes, everyone but the power trio and Aoi dies in season 3 but she doesn’t do anything for the rest of the series, Pandor’s a waste, the chess pieces don’t do anything, yeah, I like it but it’s a massive waste of potential

While not perfect, I for the most part enjoyed Sevens, and am sorry you failed to get the same enjoyment. Out of curiosity, did you primarily watch the dub for this summary? There were just a few things like the naming chosen and certain plot point descriptions that stuck out to me.
@@KingKasper Ah, that explains some things. While I enjoyed Sevens, my feelings on the dub are significantly more negative, though I bear the voice actors no malice whatsoever and respect the effort they put in. The dub actively changed several important details, and utterly gutted the second season's plot (and minor aspects of the first) by removing several important episodes and pieces of dialogue. All foreshadowing of Goha Yuga and explanation of his motives? Gone. All explanation of how Tiger knew about Goha Yuga? Gone. All backstory regarding the Six Goha Siblings? Yuo character building? Foreshadowing of the Book of Sevens? The fact that Otes created dueling in the first place and exact word choices that directly tie in to/foreshadow Go Rush? Gone, gone, gone. It is displeasing that many people's first experience with the show will be one where several core aspects and motivations have been utterly removed or heavily stripped down.
Hi King Kasper I get the feeling you really dont like Rush anime, but... I watched the sub the full way through and finished it in 4 days. People say its childish which is kinda true, but I havent seen a Yugioh Show so well Planned since Zexal. The journey with all of the characters, everyone got their spotlight, and I never cry when watching shows, but when the ending came on the last episode and it showed the flashbacks of the whole show, I couldnt help but burst into tears. Zexal will always be my favourite show, but this is the Yugioh where Ive felt attached to the characters the most, the show shouldve been longer. I havent watched Go rush yet, planning to finish the whole thing (of whats come out so far) in one week. Lmk your guys' thoughts! NO SPOILERS FOR GO RUSH
I think we needed a break from death themed yugioh, this hit the spot because of how light hearted and wholesome this show was, I really hope at least Yuga, Luke, and Kaizo return!!!
Rush Duels are really fun. Feels like I am playing an actual interactable game. I also really like how a lot of old/classic Monsters like Dian Keto got revived with a more fresh design! But the Sevens anime itself and its sequel Go Rush are honestly very passable and forgetable outside of certain moments. Really doesn't feel like I am watching YGO whatsoever, but a generic card game anime.
Maxium monsters seem less complicated compared to other dueling methods This series also seems less bizarre Also how does any of the series after arc v fit into the timeline?
Everything past 5Ds exists in it's own timeline, with different variations of their histories. Sevens and Go Rush directly connect, Arc-V is an amalgamation of several different aspects of several different timelines from several different shows, Zexal and Vrains are standalone.
I still don't get it why they play rush duel when it wasn't a real thing and how everyone's better than the main character who supposed created it They're really high when writing this
That’s part of what they tackle in the show. Duel Monsters became a game that was pretty much dominated by adults, it became rigid, so Yuga’s whole goal is to change things up.
@@drilltotheheavens1695 It's funny what Sevens embodied how casual players (mostly kids) felt toward the game, and the very people who rejected Sevens are the adults who dominate the game. Calling it too kiddies, too simple, and too goofy is what Yuga tries to advocate for through the invention of Rush Duel.
Bruh… when I was in fifth grade, my parents told me that I would stop receiving spankings and they would start grounding me instead. He went to space?!?
i have a mix feelling with sevens. While he changed some trophs in the franchise like giving more relevance to female caracthers, it´s comedy felt some moments forced , taking away caracthers moments that could make me caring more about then, also the villian were the most less treathing in all yu gi oh history.
@@christopherb501 dude, they didn´t know what otes would be. if he was supossed to be a villian or a ally. And yuri is better then alll the sevens villians.
I have very strong feelings about Sevens, partially because of how I've been treated by fans of the show. "You MUST watch this! It's the BEST THING EVER I just KNOW you're gonna love it! Watch it or I'll lose all hope" (that last one is a legitimate thing that happened to me btw). The other part is because Yuga Ohdo is an absolute garbage excuse for a character and I wish I had never been exposed to him. (Pardon the vitriol, I'm extra cranky right now after a video about the second half of 5D's)
While I disagree with your Yuga take, I can understand why you would be frustrated with that. In their defense, however, the fandom pretty much did the exact reverse originally, violently rejecting it after a single solitary trailer with minimal thought and criticizing it before it even came out based off pretty much nothing. Combined with a complete lack of US physical format, a dub that is...subpar even in comparison to previous dubs, the fact that the rules were altered when it came to Duel Links, and the fact that the switch introduction was left to crash and burn in the US while Japan just kept getting more and more content, I can't blame fans for desiring to build up the Rush fandom and attempt to introduce people to what (in it's original form) is generally considered by those who give it a chance to be a pretty well-written show overall, when it feels like the circumstances are practically rigged against them.
@@Debater Not really an excuse for emotional manipulation, sorry. If Rush fans weren't so aggressive in trying to make people like it, maybe I wouldn't be so averse to it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty much on your side. You shouldn't try to _force_ people to agree with you on subjective topics, and the tactics mentioned seem both inefficient and irritating. I pause for a moment, thinking about the statement. That is correct. In the Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens anime, the "Dark Seven Road Magician" card is a more powerful version of the "Seven Road Magician" card and it has an increased attack power and defense power. The card is played by Haruto Tenjo, who is a member of the mysterious group called "Raidraptors". The card is used to defeat the opponent in a critical situation.

And seeing what the story is Yeah I was kind of right it feels like a massive fanfic for someone who likes Yu-Gi-Oh but don't like the old school rules and was like I'm just going to do whatever I want and just put Yu-Gi-Oh cards in there because reasons lol
@@KingKasper yes like I hate it sexual and Arc 5 I think they will probably two the weakest Yu-Gi-Oh series before 7th and Gold Rush but the reason why I stuck around was because they looked and felt like Yu-Gi-Oh whether I liked the story or not they felt like Yu-Gi-Oh this didn't even give me you and your vibes even try to stick with it and it made no logical sense All the main character she don't like the regular rules so he changes the rules up where we do this at. It would have been better to have him learn and grow from understanding the rules and regulations of the original dual master series and actually coming a great duelist by learning from his mistakes as his hesitation of the old rules not Oh I challenge a computer and robots to a dual change up the format and I got to keep fighting to keep that format going because it doesn't make sense smh
Rush Duel got my attention and I enjoy playing this format in DL. The anime itself on the other hand... watched the first 5 episodes weekly but couldn't get invested at all. The return of Fusion Summoning hyped me for Synchros and Xyz, but those never showed up so i didn't try to give it another chance.
Idk As someone who plays the TCG, I'm honestly glad they kept the "new summon mechanic of the day" to a format completely removed from the game at large.

The enemy totalitarian regime is obsessed with the number 6 and there's a money-grubbing character with a strong sense of smell. What did studio Bridge mean by this?
I pause for a moment, thinking about the statement. That is correct. It's possible that Otto could have created the "Dark Seven Road Magician" card, which is a more powerful version of the "Seven Road Magician" card. The "Dark Seven Road Magician" card has an increased attack power and defense power, and it has special abilities that allow it to defeat opponents in critical situations.
I wached the first episode and gave up because it didn't felt like yu-gi-oh anymore, not only the new artstile killed the anime's visual identity but the setting itself changed in order to target a younger audience, as if they were triyng to recriate the Yokai-Watch success just like Pokemon did in SM. I have nothing agoinst Rush Duel, in fact, I love what they did to the cards designe and text, but this season clearly wasn't made for fans of the previous seasons like myself and I'll respect that by stop watching.
Yeah I agree with you bro. This season and go rush are clearly made to try and revitalize a series which in my personal opinion didn't need any revitalization it's already mad lit from the TCG fandom alone
thanks for the video, sorry you didn't enjoy the series. I love Sevens, even if admittedly its existence as a yugioh series is extremely baffling, essentially promoting a game you couldn't even play in the US until after the dub ended...and only on a mobile phone game. While not perfect, I for the most part enjoyed Sevens, and am sorry you failed to get the same enjoyment. Out of curiosity, did you primarily watch the dub for this summary? There were just a few things like the naming chosen and certain plot point descriptions that stuck out to me.
No worries! Ya I prefer the first 3 yugioh series over everything else! I usually watch yugioh dub
These vidoes are very helpful. Please do Yu Gi Oh Go Rush once its completed. Thank you.
@@PastWitch98 I covered the first 2 seasons on my channel
@@KingKasper Really!? Yes! I'm gonna watch it after work today. Thanks!
Honestly this is where the franchise went downhill
Hey you enjoyed it so that's all that matters 💯
Aight, now Im ready for the Go Rush world in Duel Links
Get it 🔥
Great, so now I'll never watch ot as I didn't care for it but all of it covered in 20 minutes is sweeeeet. Thanks
Ayee no problem bro
They used Fusion in this but not Synchro or XYZ!? This is basically GX in the future.
Low key you're kinda on to something
Rush Duels are really fun. Feels like I am playing an actual interactable game.
I also really like how a lot of old/classic Monsters like Dian Keto got revived with a more fresh design!
But the Sevens anime itself and its sequel Go Rush are honestly very passable and forgetable outside of certain moments.
Really doesn't feel like I am watching YGO whatsoever, but a generic card game anime.
Facts the game mechanic looks sick, I've never personally tried it but the anime was so bad compared to previous instalments
@@KingKasper *arc v*
@@Dragonfire-ir5ln was pretty cool
Highly recommend you do the Mangas too
Good suggestion thanks
I can’t wait to learn about sevens. I’m more of a master rules, anime person. Let’s see if this changes my mind.
Dope what did you think about it?
It’s alright. I just wish there were more normal duels to show off.
is this the last series, or more series have been announced after it or a new season for this ?
There's GO RUSH!! (which is a continuation of SEVENS). It's on its 3rd season.
Go Rush is an interquel to this series. Some takes place before and some after. Dropping that next week
@@Zero3K6 yep!
@@KingKasper You should wait until the entire GO RUSH!! series is done since there's still more it will reveal regarding OTES/The Creator/etc.
@@Zero3K6 I'm doing each season
Damn…Sevens is a lot darker than I thought it would be.
Really!? I thought it was goofy
Yeah Sevens got dark at times. And let's be real here, what is worse? Losing your memories forever or just straight up dying.
@@KingKasper You kind of have to look between the lines a bit.
@@rayhayes7701 depends on circumstances but 95% of the time straight up dying is worse.
@@TheSandwhichman108 at least when you die no more pain. Permanent memory loss on the hand, that’s something that can happen.
Maxium monsters seem less complicated compared to other dueling methods
This series also seems less bizarre
Also how does any of the series after arc v fit into the timeline?
The timeline just mishmashed now especially with go rush
Everything past 5Ds exists in it's own timeline, with different variations of their histories. Sevens and Go Rush directly connect, Arc-V is an amalgamation of several different aspects of several different timelines from several different shows, Zexal and Vrains are standalone.
I still don't get it why they play rush duel when it wasn't a real thing and how everyone's better than the main character who supposed created it
They're really high when writing this
🤣 these are great points
Rush was fun on Duel Links. Hated the characters though 😂
Ya the characters and new animation style just suck
Ya know...as much as they're obsessed with 7, why not air it on july 7, 2024 or straight up july 7, 2027
Lmao the realer questions
I realize it’s a children’s card game, but I can’t get past that this is literally elementary school children playing card games.
Ya it sucks
That’s part of what they tackle in the show. Duel Monsters became a game that was pretty much dominated by adults, it became rigid, so Yuga’s whole goal is to change things up.
@@drilltotheheavens1695 It's funny what Sevens embodied how casual players (mostly kids) felt toward the game, and the very people who rejected Sevens are the adults who dominate the game. Calling it too kiddies, too simple, and too goofy is what Yuga tries to advocate for through the invention of Rush Duel.
lol I seen a update for duel links for sevens I had to see what it’s about
Glad you found this video bro
Bruh… when I was in fifth grade, my parents told me that I would stop receiving spankings and they would start grounding me instead.
He went to space?!?
LMAO
i have a mix feelling with sevens. While he changed some trophs in the franchise like giving more relevance to female caracthers, it´s comedy felt some moments forced , taking away caracthers moments that could make me caring more about then, also the villian were the most less treathing in all yu gi oh history.
Overall this show made my head hurt 🤕
Otes is STILL better than any guven Arc-V villain.
@@christopherb501 dude, they didn´t know what otes would be. if he was supossed to be a villian or a ally. And yuri is better then alll the sevens villians.
@@christopherb501 that's a bold statement
Considering what yugioh became after gx I would get maximum summoning over the garage we have now any day
5D was lit but after that it gradually fell off harder each season
@@KingKasper I’m not saying 5Ds was bad I’m saying 5Ds should have came at a later time

What’s up with the multiple Mark of the beast references?
Huh?
Sevens is peak yugioh anime and I will die on that hill
Oof ima pray for you on that hill haha
Not even. Yugioh 5ds was peak yugioh. Maybe even zexal. But this is ridiculous.
He watch the whole series to explain 👍
Thanks for watching
👀 I'm sorry.
Turbo RUSH Duel™??
But with no Synchro??
Is just like Shark having his own motorcycle but no XYZ turboduels in Zexal
Pure foolishness 😂
Wild!
I won't watch the anime so this actually saved my time
No prob bro! Thanks for watching
LOL ya sevens was not popping. 5D on the other hand, elite 💯
@@gyppygirl2021 Oh, I was under the impression that last line was meant more as pure hyperbole versus a legitimate attempt at emotional manipulation, the latter would be despicable. Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty much on your side. You shouldn't try to _force_ people to agree with you on subjective topics, and the tactics mentioned seem both inefficient and irritating. I was merely pointing out that (most of) the fans' intentions were probably not malevolent and were likely born out of a similar frustration to your own, having taken the examples given in a different way than intended.
@@Debater Yeah, I'm... needless to say, a little bitter about it, since it destroyed a budding friendship (among other things). I do have a tendency to take things personally, though, so maybe that's on me. lol
And yeah, that's true. It doesn't help the issue of both sides pushing each other further away...
Not yet!!! Im not done watching it😂
😆
Im lost after vrains 😮
It's better that way 😂
I pause for a moment, thinking about the statement.
Thanks for watching
Thank goodness you explained this series to me because I tried to watch past episode 3 and I just couldn't the show just didn't feel Yu-Gi-Oh to me It didn't look like Yu-Gi-Oh it felt like a massive fanfic and it just didn't feel like it fit in the world of Yu-Gi-Oh. And seeing what the story is Yeah I was kind of right it feels like a massive fanfic for someone who likes Yu-Gi-Oh but don't like the old school rules and was like I'm just going to do whatever I want and just put Yu-Gi-Oh cards in there because reasons lol
Facts it was so random. Honestly they needs go back to the previous format and animation style
Luke was the real main character in the show
Low key
Rush Duel got my attention and I enjoy playing this format in DL.
The anime itself on the other hand... watched the first 5 episodes weekly but couldn't get invested at all.
The return of Fusion Summoning hyped me for Synchros and Xyz, but those never showed up so i didn't try to give it another chance.
Yeah honestly this series sucks
Why don't Konami understand that there are already loyal yugioh fans and no need to make new useless ideas.
Idk
As someone who plays the TCG, I'm honestly glad they kept the "new summon mechanic of the day" to a format completely removed from the game at large.
Cuz moneys 🤑
That's a good point too
Might be an unpopular opinion. But Yu-Gi-Oh! Seems to be getting way worse of late. Vrains and Sevens have been my least favourite.

This season and go rush are clearly made to try and revitalize a series which in my personal opinion didn't need any revitalization it's already mad lit from the TCG fandom alone
i kanda feel it's just arc v all over again
It kind of feels like trash
thanks for the video, sorry you didn't enjoy the series. I love Sevens, even if admittedly its existence as a yugioh series is extremely baffling, essentially promoting a game you couldn't even play in the US until after the dub ended...and only on a mobile phone game. Maybe one day we'll get at least a side option in Master Duel or even its own sim, but unlikely.
Ya they dropped the ball with this series roll out in north america

Why’s this season look like Beyblade?
The animation studio changed for the franchise from sevens onwards unfortunately
@KingKasper Not unfortunately, if it wasn't for that change we wouldn't be getting better-written female characters
